"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

There is a girl I liked who I used to hang out with a few months ago pretty regularly. Long story short--she had a BF, so i just played it cool and was waiting for her to break up. It was inevitable that she would break eventually break up with him given the way she was being treated.

Anyways, around a month ago while we were talking on the phone, she mentioned that she had broke up with the BF. Ever since that day it seems as if she has been ignoring and avoiding me. I was having a hard time getting a hold of her on the phone, and she would hardly return my calls. The last time i spoke to her was aorund 2 weeks ago over msn. I tried having a regular convo, but she started giving me one word answers, and then after a few mintues she stopped messaging me all together. I waited for 10 minutes then said "hey im leaving!", within a second she says "bye". This just confirmed that she had been intentionally ignoring me, so i ended up saying "thanks for ignoring me" before logging off. From that day on, i stopped getting on msn in hopes of her being on. I also stopped anticipating day after day that she would eventually call. I also forced myself not to call her.

Today (two weeks after the msn convo) while i was driving around the grocery stores parking lot, i spotted her in her car driving around. I thought i heard her honk but iam not 100% certain she did. Anyways, i ended up catching up behind her and trailed her as she pulled into a parking spot. Instead of pulling into the parking spot next to her, I pulled a left turn and drove away. I dont know why i drove away--it just felt totally involuntary.

Anyways, im not even sure if she saw me. Im not sure if it was her who honked. I am just worried that if she saw me, would she think i was rude?? Did i do a good thing by driving away? Would you have done the same? WILL SHE CALL?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Congratulations, you caught oneitis for a girl who already had a boyfriend and who isn't really giving you the time of day. Just do like penkitten said, and remember to SPIN MORE PLATES. You're playing a deadly game with these mental obsessions; oneitis can be fatal!

And quit wasting time on internet messengers! Idle chit-chat is for women.

Read the DJ Bible.

well i just got home from the gym 30 minutes ago and she was online. I was appearing offline and didnt bother to go on--she ended up logging off soon after. I have a feeling she was waiting to talk to me since its 12:30AM and she usually never gets on at this time. IF she really wants to talk she can call.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

can you hear yourself talk? you actually believe she was online to talk to you, and yet you weren't on visible. first off, she never saw you as more than a friend, obviously you are not telling the whole story you must have made a move on her and it was not well received. second, you are obsessing over her and you followed her in the parking lot? dude, thats called STALKING. stop being delusional... theres nothing there. leave her alone now, and move on.

No i never made a move. Things got pretty close though, but i didnt want to be known as the guy who steals peoples GFs. Anyways, maybe ill give her a ring in a couple weeks during summer break (unless she calls me before, which i highly doubt). In the meantime i should focus on work and college (Finals comming up).

thanks

also i didnt STALK her in the parking lot, there was only one way to get out, and that was by driving behind her. She pulled into a spot and i pulled a left turn out of the lot.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I want you to think about this - why would you EVER want to call a girl that ignores you, clearly doesnt want to speak to you, isnt a good friend nor has the potential to be.

believe this, she wont be creating threads on the net and thinking about you..

oh and someone needs to give you a kick in the behind because you sound super insecure.

Good work on joining the gym though.

Forget about her, and work on yourself.

Time to move on. stupid hoe

agreed, time to move on, but no need to be angry, hurt, or disappointed, life is good, billions of girls out there, get busy. The less time you waste the more girls you'll get. Brush it off like it was a pesky bug.

Haha, I was making a new thread in the "Anything Else" Forum and I accidentally posted it here.

Carry on.
