I usually just say something like: "Man, I've only known you for 5 minutes and your already telling me all your problems. This relationship is over." (This isn't a good idea if the BF is around). Then I'll follow with "well it was nice meeting you."

Look if they tell you they have a BF then its over. Just part of the game. If a girl is intrested in you then she will avoid talking about any BF she may have at all cost. Don't take it personally. Just examine and then recalibrate your approach.

If she doesn't tell you she has a BF, then she may have interest in you. On the other hand, look at what kind of girl your dealing with. Even if you do hit it off with her, she's always going to be actively looking for someone better. Of course all women are like this, but she might be a little bit more ACTIVE if you know what I mean.
