"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I was at this local fast-food restaurant that I frequent, and as I was waiting for my milkshake I saw this girl out of the corner of my eye. I turned around to look at her, and she was looking right at me. We made eye contact. This girl actually works there, but I guess she was on her break or something because she was sitting in a booth smoking a cigarette, not behind the counter or anything.

After I got my milkshake, I started walking towards the door, and out of the blue she says "Have a nice day." I looked at her and said "You too." She was also touching her hair as she said it.

Now maybe she was just being nice, but I sensed some attraction there. If she had been working behind the counter and said that, I wouldn't have thought too much about it, since customer service people are paid to be nice. But, like I said, she was on her break and sitting in a booth, so it kind of came out of nowhere. Plus, I get looks from girls all the time, but they rarely just up and speak to me like that.

Some of you have probably seen some of my other posts on this site, so you know I have some problems in this area. What's the best way to go about talking to her? Should I wait a couple weeks to go back in there, or go back tomorrow and say something to her to make it more obvious that I like her? By the way, this girl is probably a HB8.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

holy **** man.

you didn't do anything about a girl that actually talked FIRST?

quit making it difficult and say hi.

she'll say hi back and you ask her if shes on break. BAM! instant convo, and it'll branch out from there.

well your PERFECT opportunity passed... go back WHENEVER you feel like it... day doesn't even matter... but seriously that was the perfect opportunity.

"...and say something to her to make it more obvious that I like her?"

yeah you "like" her... are you one of the people who fall head over heels about someone too fast? you don't know her, so you don't like her... you just think shes a pretty girl... don't start getting emotionally attached when you don't even know her... lmao.

anyway... go when you feel like it... and just say hi. don't have a conversation ready... just have a few topics to talk about that can relate to your opener.

---

introduce yourself... dont apologize, but tell her you were in a rush the other day.

if she asks why... branch it out from there.

Nah. I'm not like that. By "like her", I meant I like the way she looks.

I'll do what you said. I'll just go in there when I feel like it and say something to her.

Man I'm actually more concerned that there's some nasty-ass fast food restaurant that lets their employees smoke in the booths.

I'd give it FIVE YEARS. Then go back in and ask her out.

lol Of course you should go back in. The IOI's where off the charts man. SHE ACTUALLY SPOKE TO YOU FIRST! Damn, man, that's like spoonfeeding you.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
