"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

relationship status - 1.5 months (seems like more cause we lived together (house sitting))
love - she's said it, i've said it, she said first

(just trying to let u know where its at)

i think i made some absolute ripping with my girlfriend this weekend.. started friday night we went to the movies, took her little sister 15, and her friend along aswell.. she paid (i'd paid for her recently).. she and her sister went to check out some clothes while me and the friend lined up for tickets. was awkard for us both, but kept a constant conversation going. they came back, she ran up the stairs to the cinema with the friend, i was feeling a little bit rejected cause she hadn't spoken to me much, but i just did some c+f with her little sis (who my girlfriend was liek "you like her better then me" a week before, which i explained was stupid, although she is cute... but i'm 20.)
blah blah blah. we're in the movies and the preveiws come on. i'm on one edge next to my girlfriend who is next to sisters friend. me and gf are talking about the preveiws, etc. and movies which we had seen.
(we hired a dvd while house sitting (28 days later) some cheap horror movie from england (i think) she said she hated it. (some time after that she was talking to her ex on speaker phone, and he said "you have to see 28 days later" we laughed etc..)
so she mentions how bad at picking movies i am (28 days later) and i said "well you would have seen it anyway since (ex) told you to" she cracked the ****s hard.. turned her body away from me etc.
i initially thought, apologise.. but i didn't.. i came to the conclusion i had done nothing wrong..
movie started, we still wernt talking and we were watching gothica. anyway, blah blah blah, movie is going. theres a really rainy scene and it makes you feel colder, i was in t-shirt with jacket on my lap, i noticed she pulled her sleaves over her hands during this scene, asthough she was cold. so i said "i know ur still mad at me, but cover yourself with this" and gave her my jacket. she didn't say anything, but left it on her.

a few minutes later she pulled her phone out of her bag and started typing an sms.. i was thinking "*****, we're here together and ur sms'ing someone, when no one sent anything to you" few seconds later my phone goes beep beep (i thought it was silent, but nope). so she sms'd me and said basically
"everyone compares everything to (ex). i didnt think you would. i thought you were over that. obviously your still jealous"
i replied "what do have to be jealouse about? i was making a little wise crack. i thought nothing of it. i'm sure (ex) is a great guy but i know i've got you"
and she replied
"well it hurt. just cause (ex) said somehting doesnt mean i'll like it or hate it"
i wrote back something along the lines of
"i didn't say u'd like it, i said u'd see it. just like if your best friend said "go and see this""
anyway, she sorta said "i'm sorry for being stupid, i really love you, etc." and started kissing me and stuff..

i was pretty wrapped and considered that a dj move. the AFC in me wanted to apologise.

what u guys think about that? sorry its long, and not that exciting.. but i was pretty wrapped..

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

It's AFC to apologize when you've done nothing wrong. In this case, she connected dots that weren't there and got bent out of shape about it. Not his fault, and not something he should apologize for.

Mind backing that out-of-left-field claim up with, say, some sort of evidence of the reasoning that went into it?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Women are so fvcking delusional. They have to twist something on purpose and make it seem like you are insulting or demeaning them.........this has been happening recently with my girl.

thanks for the support guys..

i've been one itus before, this isn't it..

its strange, this site has changed me alot..
she's a great girl, i really like her, if i'm with her for long enough, i could marry her.
on the other hand, if she broke up with me, i've learnt alot from her which i can put to use, and while i would be a little upset, i'd be over it very quickly..

i've gained alot of confidence in my looks and my game since being with her.

Totally ignore the ex subject from now on, make her see you dont care a **** about it, and aren't worried at all. If she says, i was talking to my ex, you dont ask anything about it, show indiference, and keep on talking about the stuff that matters.
