So, she wants to marry you. You have to decide if you want to marry her. You can propose, and wait as long as you can to set a date and then postpone when you get close, or you can tell her that you don't want to ge married.

What do you want?

Not sure what her age is, but alot of women
in their twenties absolutely want to get
married and have children. This is their
dream. If you're not ready for that, she will
leave you and hook up with someone who
will. The girlfriend I had when I was around
26 wanted this - I wasn't ready at the time (I was in graduate school) and she left me for a guy who had a job and could support children. Years later she realized she made a
mistake in marrying him (basically for children, and against everyone's advice at
the time).

If that is how you feel, then if you married her you will regret it for the rest of your life. The only time you should consider getting married is when you yourself feel like it is time. Never let a woman push you into it.

My girl is the same way, always saying things like, "when we get married, we're gong to....blah, blah, blah.." It's so annoying sometimes. If it was up to her, we'd get married next summer.

I've been with her about a year, so I think it's a little too early for that. I'm going to wait at least till we hit the 2 year mark before I even consider it. How long have you and your girlfriend been together? If you've been with her over 3 years, I could understand the pressure to get married from her, but if it's shorter than that than you should definitely take your time.

I seem to recall something about a silly 1000 day rule. If the girl doesn't get a ring within a 100o days of dating you, she leaves to find a guy who will give her one.

Women in their early 20's usually get brainwashed into the whole make a faimly settle down and become a family of consumers crap... Have a big happy wedding and buy lots of things... Its silly; they get married not out of love but for the sake of getting married itself and for children.. Then they are miserable and get a divorce.. lol silly little girlz.

Their looks begin to fade, they feel their stock begin to drop, they feel their securities rise to the surface and are forced to look them square in the eye, and they rush to get married before they are of no value.

So does this mean that you want to do all of these things alone? Does this mean that your GF isn't interested in theses things? Basically, has she said that she would rather get married instead of being included in your dreams as you see them?

Amen to that :)

If I were you, I would slowly cut off all connections with this woman and move on. Or, more sensibly, tell her just how you feel. It'll be her choice to stay with you or move on.

The things you want to do will never fly when you're married. Do you want to become a robot producer for your family? I sure as hell dont. I want to see the world! Skydive! Meet new peope! Make tons of cash! Not rely on anyone!

Its a funny situation where women are actually pressured by society to get married and settle down. Let them find a dumb AFC who will slave away for the family.

We are together for one year and 7 months.

Yes I can include her on my dreams, traveling for example, but its not the same! Going to a pub in Italy and getting drunk "alone" and going there worried about how she is... what time does she want to go to the hotel etc.... cmon.....

And I want to buy a porsche, I can even hear her saying "you will spend $ 30 k in a car??!!" well... she is nice and wont say it, but will comunicate it in some way...

damn it. Let me live my life, wanna joy the ride? hahahahaha

Can I get a 'Amen' on that ;) Well, sounds like you've made up your mind. I'd let her know your plans and to what extent she plays in them. Either she will appreciate it or not, her decision.
