"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I left her place immediately after telling her that I never (or will) discuss politics in the relationship. So far, a missed call and lengthy text from her that she is sorry and that I didn't care about the relationship to leave abruptly. Going ghost, I'll update on how it goes :)

Edit: The title might start a sh!tty political debacle. Please don't discuss politics and contribute to the relationship aspect. Thank you!

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

OP, you did the right thing by leaving and going ghost. Perfect. She apologized so that's a + for her. But a - for her snarky little comment about you not caring about the relationship. Which with me, that would put her back at square one. I would ghost 2-3 days at least. Then when you do talk to her, talk to her like the child she is:

You: "Ok now. You know I didn't approve of your behavior, right?"
GF/little girl "yes, I'm sorry",
You: "Ok, behave like that again and there will be no relationship for either of us to care about anymore. Are we clear?"

I didn't vote for Trump. But this is America, people can vote for whoever they want. The critisizing and demeaning of people who did so is completely ridiculous and ignorant.

Why? It seems a bit of a butthurt move to instantly terminate contact over that? It just tastes like a reactive thing to do.

You can do it of course, but it just seems like an immature thing to do.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Good choice from your side, a beta would have try to argue or try to see her point.

There is no point to be seen or discussed when someone doesnt accept your views regardless.

The problem is women (and people who vote and think like them) view politics not any different from a soap opera with their favourite characters, it just take one of them of be unpolite to an other and they dislike him for no other reason than that.

Best action to do, drop someone who drops you choices...she rejects your right to express yourself, you reject her right to do the same.

You did good. When you re connect with her you need to make sure that she knows you will not tolerate political disrespect in a relationship. Dont forget to tell her that you extend her the same courtesy.

Essentially you both agree to disagree, and that should be good enough

I agree, that snarky comment left a bad taste in my mouth. I got a VM that sounded she was sniffling saying that she was sorry how she treated me last night. Not really a use in going ghost, but I'll let her know her attitude and behavior was unacceptable last night and not let that ever happen again. She's pretty good at learning from her mistakes and not repeating them. Thanks for the insight guys.

I agree. WTF man why go ghost ? She said she is sorry. You go ghost UNTIL she says she is sorry. Not the opposite

PS: On a side note (sry I can't stop myself hehe), you voted Trump : You went full retard, never go full retard !
The last half of her text was a defensive play to 'share' the blame. If it's not your fault, why the heII would you compromise?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Sent to me as a PM.
It's funny you say that because her text said I was immature for leaving. Perhaps I've never grew up or understand the concept that women are there to accompany you on your ride. BTW, put together my username backwards and keep it to yourself.
Why are you sending this as a PM? Why can't you share this with people in this thread?

No idea what your username backwards would mean. If you want everyone to keep their opinions and questions for themselves don't make a thread...

Leaving like that over something as trivial as this IS immature, she's right about that.

I know a restaurant in Buford, GA where all the girls voted Hillary and thought it was ok to b!tch me out of the restaurant (their owner probably would have fired them if he knew).

So I went there dressed as Trump on Halloween weekend. They had steam coming out their ears. I made sure just to order a drink.
