GF said she wants to wait for sex

My GF said she wants to wait until she's 21 to have sex and thats about 6 months or so from now. She said she wants it to be special and that she'd like to share it with me. I told her I respect her decision and things like that (which I do).

The thing is that I don't want to have to wait and then have it feel like there's a due date when I actually get to have sex with her. I don't want to keep bringing it up, but is there a way to make her feel differently without making me seem desparate or that I want it too much or I'm pushing her?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

If sex is planned, there's the possibility of performance anxiety.

On both parts...

Also, it's known to not be as good when it's planned. It's one thing if you've been having sex for a while, and you say "this weekend, we're gonna eat at 8, and right after, we're gonna have sex," but it's a totally different thing when you plan the first time.

The only thing I can suggest is to at least go down on her, and try to get her worked up enough to beg for it...

However, she'll probably keep you waiting.

At times she's seemed like she would be ready to have sex after we'd been doing oral and things. I think she wants to be on some kind of birth control also (getting a shot I think). So I think that might play into things also. Any suggestions?

Just a thought. I've known girls who have said "I want my first time to be special with the boy I love and will be married to". They've been weaned on romantic novels and flics.

If you're intending to be that special dude, you may be trapped into marrying her. Just be extra careful with virgin girls.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Turn the tables on her when the time comes...when she turns 21 and you two are both almost there for sex, just say "not tonight," then leave. Make her want it and make her work for it.

Better yet, find somebody who doesn't make you wait for it.

It's odd that she wants to wait until she's 21. What's so magical about that age for her?
