"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

My girlfriend of bout a year... her parents are dying and shes going to have NOWHERE to stay.. My dad thought of her moving in with us. I really cant get bored of her maybe bceuase im obsessed oh well so is she ... would this totaly **** our relationship up if she moved in? im graduating soon and she wants to move in with me after I graduate anyway... I was just wondering becuase a girl at my work who just graduated said she and her boyfriend had been together since they where freshman... what do i do

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

If your dad says yes and you say no because you're in fear of ruining a relationship that is going fine right now, you're going to seem like a complete jackass. If one of your boys had two dying parents, you'd probably stick up one for them. The relationship should be the last of your worries right now, especially if someone you know is going through a hard time.

I don't see how rejecting her when she has absolutely nowhere to go is going to help the relationship. What would you think if you were in her situation? Both your parents are dying, you need a place to stay, your girlfriend's parents okay it, but she says no.

That would ruin my day.

Why don't you quit wondering about her. It already seems that you are more obsessed than she is. You think too much about things you can't control.

"Is she going to get tired of me" is something that you shouldn't be worried about. "Are you going to get tired of her" is the type of thing you can control and figure out on your own. Things are going to be different, but if you can't manage through this, I don't see how "long" you can make it.

I agree with crazykid.

It is very selfish to think about the relationship at a time like this. If ever, THIS is a time that you need to be there for your gf. No BS.

Grow a pair, act like a man and just screw the relationship if it comes to that.

We are talking about some serious stuff here. She is in a VERY difficult period now and the last thing she needs is a prick of a bf that is afraid that their relationship will go down the drain if she moves in with him, when she hasnt a place to stay due to death in the family.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Yeah even if it doesnt work out with her as your GF you should be there for her! I mean, if you really care about her so much that you have been with her for a year you should be more concerned about how she will cope with the loss of BOTH her parents, not whether or not she will be with you while she is coping. At a time like this i would hope you would be there for her regardless of how your relationship does.

And why do you care so much about what everybody else thinks about highschool relationships in the long run? If you think this girl is right for you than you shouldnt be worried about how HS relationships worked for everybody else. There are different circumstances for different couples... some HS relationships work perfectly forever, most dont, but that shouldnt matter at all if you really care about this girl.

If you dont mind me asking... how are both her parents dying? Illness or acccident?

Sorry I'm just curious...
