"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

We have been in a relationship for 2 years on and off once....she has this guy from Germany who she was friends with...she is Taiwanese.....he recently moved back to Germany and she cried a lot because she feels like she lost her best friend and said it also brought back memories and feelings when i had to return home for a year....i live abroad in Taiwan.

So now instead of talking on the phone every other day, they email each other every day.....and she does find him physically attractive she said but he is too young for her so they have only been friends...he has basically been her shoulder to cry on when i did bad things or made her sad...i haven't been perfect in all of this myself......cheated on her last year once and initiated breaks with her several times but have been good since then.

Well, i have been getting annoyed acting about this guy friend even though i know that is not the smart thing to do...the good thing is to act like i don't care....but lately i do care. However, she says i am checking on her too much lately.......my question is should i care about this...she has never cheated on me with him but she did say her feelings for him changed a little once he moved away but she would still never consider him for a BF because he is too young....plus obviously coming from me he is a complete orbiter.....so should i even be threatened by this emailing every day thing??? or just ignore it or maybe just even taking a break to see other people? Thanks for any input.

Also, given this situation, what is a good rate of calling her each week...like 3 times a week? I used to call only once a week and she complained about it and said she wanted to talk to me every day...however, after talking every day we have nothing to talk about at times when i call her.....she is not a very vocal person in general.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

conventional wisdom would tell you to call her on her ****, however.. lol i've been the other guy on the other end before, and if he was anything like i was, he doesn't stand a chane of stealing her.

I used to pick this girl up from school everyday, talk to her for 1-2 horus a day for a year and didnt' get so much as a peck on the cheek from her.

in this type of situation, it's like she is combing 2 dudes to create the ultimate boyfriend. she might like the effeminate qualities that the other guy possesses, he listens, etc. while you provide the excitement/****

Hey Zinc,

I'm a little puzzled about your relationship.
How many times do you see her a week?
Proximity?
Sounds like you're cool with the way things are between you and her (as in not looking to live together ...).

Point is, if she's just a warm female body who stands no chance of a more serious relationship, does it matter that she has an intimate relationship with another (as long as it's not physical)? Make no mistake, it is intimate, they're not talking about cooking!

I don't know of one ex that would be able to stand me talking / emailing another woman every day.

I guess it depends what you want.

Anytime a gf (or wife, whatever) spends more time talking to another man than you, you are not her #1 anymore. In this case the other guy is filling an emotional need for her that you aren't. That doesn't necessarily mean that you should seek to fill that spot, because you can never 100% satisfy another person's emotional needs. Think carefully about her and her loyalty.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
