GF asks "Do you ever think I cheat on you?"

Last time I got asked this question:

I was dating girl for over 2year, had a lot in common you know the usual story, cut along story short don’t want to bore ppl here.
I worked late 2am weekends e.t.c she was not happy dont blame her at the time.

She started to go out clubbing with female friends and stay over in different places, I did not, mind I was working.
One day she says “do you ever wonder if I have cheated on you”.
She was showing bad signs: being cold, more distant for a while and my gut knew something was wrong.
The question was asked at an awkward moment, I responded with ‘I don’t think about it’, she then asked ‘what would you do if I did cheat’ I simply said, I would try to forgive you (I was trying to get a response).

A few weeks later, I got a phone call, she was crying ‘I cheated on you with some guy in a club, blah blah blah).

I dumped her right there and then, the only reason she told me was because I said I would forgive her, she spent the next 5 months trying to get back out with me, phoning my job/house/showing up e.t.c. I cracked at the time and went back out with her for 2weeks but the thought of some other guy, up her whilst I was seeing her, soon crept in and I could not bear to be with her, so no i could not forgive her and why should I?

I grew some, made a lot of mistakes after that and most likely will make a lot of mistakes more, but one thing I wont do and that is entertain a cheating women, not my idea of fun anyway, unless ofc she is cheating with some hot blonde and I am invited to watch

So I would say watch out, from exp’ this is a two edged sword question.

Sounds like she was just testing you. If she thinks you play it cool maybe she wanted to see whether she could break your cool exterior with a question like that or maybe she wanted to see how "devoted" you are to her. I wouldn't take it very seriously and it's kind of bad to gage how well you reacted without having seen you but I think did alright. It would have probably been a notch cooler if you had shrugged it of by thinking about it for a second then just saying "nah" but that's just being nit picky.

is

"I havn't given it much thought, but I'm pretty hungry..sandwich?

Of all the things that women can talk about, she just comes out and says "Do you ever think I cheat on you" especially when there is no signs of anything wrong. Why can't she talk about the weather, or gossip or work or play. What makes a chick just come out with $hit like this...

Answer - Coz they have cheated and feel horribly guilty and as long as you will forgive her or show signs that you will forgive her, then she will instantly feel better. (won't normally make her confess tho, but thats another story)
