"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

okay we've had two weeks so far and just so happens in the second week on the third day winds up sitting next to me(a ton of empty seats around the room, about 8 minutes before the class starts). so off the bat I say to myself well she must at least think i look alright.

Don't talk at all during that class but i catch her looking over once or twice and vice versa(doesn't mean anything).

In class im still undecided but afterwards she winds up walking to the parking lot(same here) so i catch up to her a couple of minutes later.

Start up a quick convo about how the class sucks. make it easy for her to respond on comments which she did on one or two. probably 2 to 3 minute convo and i told her i'd catch her later when we had to break off to get to our cars.

now i managed to party my way out of real college so this a tech school where everyone is commuting, no dorms.

Do yall feel if i get one more good convo with her to go for the number or what advice or what to kind of talk about before i try to go for it.

Or should I try to talk to her once or twice more on the walk to the car before i go for it for the comfort factor.

and even besides this is yall have any opinion on how i should handle this and approach this after class(aside from what i initially did the first time i noticed her, which was catch up with her after class and talk) it would be appreciated.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

First off if you dont meet her physical minimum your screwed. But chances are that you do. So you should go and sit next to her next time in class and talk. Have a REAL conversation, get to know her. This will show that your interested in her and not just in getting laid. Next time in class do the same but do some subtle flirting. Wait another 2-3 conversations to see if she makes a move on you. Because if she does you have the power and you'll know that shes really interested. If she doesnt then ask for her number.

you see her in class all the time, why chase a number

get talking to her , get some raport building

start on questions like whats happening on the weekend ? what are you up to now ?

then you can bring up oh i'm going to this party or shopping or whatever , you should come along and go from there

well

i caught her looking over at me again today so the looks thing is not a problem at all, i've been told many times im pretty attractive randomly by random girls so im not worried there.

in this class i'm not really able to talk to her unless it's before or after class. that type of teacher. was gonna try and chat her up some more today, walked to the parking lot with her last week after i noticed her and had a decent convo(not one sided she replied to alot of things i said and expanded).

was gonna try to get her number today but i got bored about an fifty minutes into class to take a smoke break. chilled outside for about 5 minutes and stepped back in and she had already left like 2 other kids. she left about a half hour early

from watching her i can tell the class bores the hell out of her(we spoke about that). 2 other kids left close to an hour early, 1 hour 30 minute class, so that plan got screwed.

so what i'm thinking is i definetely pass the looks test, it's just more me not grabbing the oppurtunity to talk to her before class starts as opposed to how i was waiting till after(only had one oppurtunity so far) cause i caught her staring straight at me 2 to 3 times in class.

Now here's where the new ? comes in. I was kinda of trying to ignore her somewhat and pick my spots to talk to her to kind of show an aloofness and somewhat mystery how i'd talk to her sometimes and talk to other people at other points.

Would yall feel that would be a good course of action to keep up or would yall have suggestions or any sort of changes to what im doing you'd suggest?

I'm wanting to get the number sooner rather than later, but I do want to build up a rapport first so it doesn't seem out of the blue.

any help yall could give would be appreciated.

I havnt read all that but you have already screwed it. Dude look at you, your writing a dam essay on asking a girl for her number over the internet. your over analysing everything, trying to work out some master plan. look at classic anti dump posts, you ask the number there and then. Talk to her, if you feel a vibe say something like neways, nice talking to you whats your number, i'll give you a text.

I actually ask her number mid convo sometimes. no real emotions or feelings are built up at this point.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I'm kinda in the same situation as you with some girl that sits next to me. When I talked to her she really opened up and we talked for about 15 min. Since I'm new to this stuff, I am just going to keep talking to her every class. I'm not that worried about a number but may try eventually.

Well I wouldn't say he's "screwed" it yet, but he's on thin ice. I prefer to say that you haven't "screwed" it until the ho has said no. Then you've screwed it. :p
