I live on the ground floor in an apartment block.

There’s a courtyard outside, and two other apartment blocks the far side of it again.

Sometimes other residents/kids come out and make noise, kick football, sometimes hit my window etc.

I spoke to the property manager and he seemed fine with putting a sign up.

This is what I’ve got:

"Activity in this courtyard such as football, sports, parties etc.,
can generate significant noise disturbance for residents of
the apartment complex.

Please be mindful of this whilst enjoying this common area.

Kind regards, management"

Could I shorten that somehow?

Does it get the point across? (stop ****ing about here in case you’re oblivious, you’re disturbing every nearby resident).

Thoughts in general on the wording; how would you word it, or do so differently?

"Please keep noise and disruptions to a level acceptable to community standards,"

Let them guess what "acceptable" means

The way you worded it sounds too weak and risks inviting trolling (i.e., things getting worse). You need some implied threat somehow. Maybe sign it "management"

Or you can hang various soccer players in effigy around the courtyard, maybe some voodoo pins

You can make random courtyard appearances in bloody werewolf masks, etc.

The apartment manager is fine with your sign, because he knows that no one will pay any attention to it, and it will shut you up for a while.

Look for a new place to live. You're never going to get other people's children to play quietly. As an adult, you're almost always in the wrong when arguing with a child, because you can't expect them to behave like adults.

Confederate flags and skulls will do just fine.

"Residents are armed and they don't like loud noises."

"Is there life after death? Trespass here and find out."

Rainbow flags and MAGA banners.

Had a similar noise problem back in the dark ages when I thought having an apartment with a window looking out on and right next to the pool was a good idea.
The solution, moved further away but still close enough to the pool to avoid a long walk home from the parties there …

"Due to complaints of noise disturbance from residents, we kindly request
that soccer and others sports are not played in this area.

Management"

Better?

Every time someone gets noisy, light off some stink bombs. Just open your window and toss them out like some modern day Vietnam grenade tossing. They'll clear out, and you'll have a big laugh.

I remember at one time an area had alot of rough kids and it was keeping customers away.
So they started playing classical music and it repelled the kids
