Getting past the small talk?

I'm currently on week 2 of boot camp and I fink myself running into walls when I initiate a conversation. When all the small talk is over with and you found out basic information about each other is it time to end the conversation and get the number or should I dig deeper? All responses would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say it depends on the situation and how much time the both of you got.
If you're at a party or whatever, continue talking and start kinoing.
If you don't know what to say, check out the DJ Bible.
If you met her on the street/bus/... ask for her number and leave!
Remember: It's better when you leave first.

Don't say "so is it OK..." Be assertive, say "Why don't you give me your number, we can finish this some other time."

You really shouldn't dig deep but it's up to you it's talking you know ?

I always tell guys to try to engage them into conversation by bringing up things they might understand then switching it up and steering the conversation to where you want into to go.

I also just try to come up with subjects as i walk up to them .Just cuz i have been caught with nothing to say to a girl and it is embarassing.Most of the time i just wing it.
