"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

so i've almost never gone out on the weekends with my friends. the really good friends i have are all nerdy and don't get out much either so they don't invite me to anything. but the new popular friends i've made don't invite me to do anything either. i mean i have friends in school, but not really "close friends" that invite me to do shiz with them... wuts the problem?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You'll have to give some in order to take back some. You'll have to earn their trust or just don't know enough people. Either way, you should try to go out alone. I learned that the hard way, never rely on others.

um are you sure your new friends are really your friends? If so, then get one of their numbers and call them on the weekends instead of waiting for them to call you

Sometimes you have to invite people out, or ask what they're up to and see if you can come along.

I always used to wait for people to invite me first... didn't go out much. If people don't invite you out, it's not always because they don't want to hang out, just that you're not on the radar as someone to hang out with. Or they may all do X on the weekends, and you give off a vibe that you wouldn't be into X, so they assume you wouldn't want to come. Or you seem to already have friends so they assume you're busy.

from my experience you have to build a certain comfort level with them. i have some friends who last year started to chill with these other dudes. i didnt know the other guys but i tagged along. there were times where they would chill and not call me out and when i'd chill with them it was only with my previous friends not the new dudes they met. then i made an effort to get to know them..joked around with them and all that crap until we could relate and "bonded". now we all chill, they call me up, i call them....
