"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

If you're foolish enough to go through with this, at least get a prenup. It will mitigate some of the power she will have over you as the marriage progresses; you'll be able to rest knowing that she won't be able to take you to the cleaners TOO badly if you get sick of her BS and decide to leave.

totally support this. As a man you lose all power in the relationship when you give up the ability to show her the door. A prenup retains some of that power because you can show her the door without risking all of your fiscal well being for the rest of your life as many men find out when they get divorced.

In closing you're playing Russian roulette with your future, except this revolver has half the chambers loaded instead of just 1. You just don't see it this way because you're judgment is clouded by being in love.

Understand that if marriage is not something you really deep down want you do not have to go through with it nor should you.

At the end of the day when the ceremonial ritual is over marriage is just a cold life less government contract forming an unstable corporation between two people, its just a piece of paper but a piece of paper that can lead to financial ruin and epic levels of bitterness and destruction. Simply getting married will not make a relationship any better than it was before getting married and it will not lead to some epiphany of greater awareness.

So do not go down this road lightly. Think hard about it.

Fully agree except for one minor part. A marriage is a contract between 3 entities. You, your spouse, and the state. It's not just the two people. Although it is very much like forming a corporation. And if that corp falls apart the individual with the most to lose is usually the one who loses the most. Historically speaking this person is the man.

Bottom line, realize the risks, shake off the fog of romance for a moment and recognize what you're in for. These days there's no good reason to get married except for religious reasons, tax benefits, and some legalese (like insurance). Nowhere in that equation does love play a part. The reason why? Marriage doesn't have a thing to do with love. That's the secret. The relationship the day before getting married is the same relationship the day after. NOTHING CHANGES. That's a damn hard fact to swallow.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Why don't you give us a description of your fiance's family, past relationships, how she deals with finances, more about her friends, more about her work, are there already kids involved, is there already property involved, are you currently living together, your ages, religious quirks, alcohol or drug use, etc, etc, etc.

We probably can't tell you if she's a good match for you but your answers to the questions above may very likely tell us if she not a good candidate for marriage (to anyone).

Well, tomorrow's his big day. I have a feeling he won't be heeding any of the advice given here.

And that, gentlemen, is exactly how you qualify a woman who is a contender for a place of permanence in your life.

Forget all that evol psych stuff. SUre, it may offer a small piece of the puzzle, but essentially it is about as useful as reading her daily horoscope in predicting a woman's behavior.

The way she was raised, her parents' stability, her relationship with her father, and the shape and dynamics of her previous intimate relationships will tell you exactly how a particular woman will behave with you.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
