I haven't worked for over 2 years. have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I'm tired a lot of the time.
Really all I do is study poker. I love poker. Its my passion. I mostly play tournaments online and and in real life and had some success with the real life tournaments. I decided to stop since if I happen to go on a downswing I would have less money to move to Australia with. I'm now in Australia. But I got no money to play with since the money is used for emergency's. I know I need to get a job but I don't know what to get. I would be happy even working at mcdonalds 40 hours per week but its hard even getting a job there at my age of 29. I just want to get some coin together to buy poker stuff and pay for tournament entries. Anyone know what the best course of action to making this happen? I went out and applied for 20 jobs in person the other week and nearly all of them said you have to apply online when the job is listed. with so many other applicants its hard to get one.

Do yourself a favor and don’t mention poker on the application, resume, or during the job interview …

20 a week? When I was desperate for a job I submitted at least 20 a DAY for a couple weeks. I had a job by the 3rd week. Looking for a job IS your job right now. You should be submitting at least 10 a day online.

And ringing the recruiter so they can see you're proactive and have social skills. And remember every time you meet a recruiter be polite and friendly but talk formally EXACTLY and I mean exact words as a job interview because all they care about is if I send this guy to an interview will he get the commission for me. So don't bag your ex boss or talk about poker.

If you love poker so much start your career at night club or casino, hotel and tourism industry.
