It's been suggested many times before on these forums that if you suddenly adopt AFC behaviors whereas you were previously acting "alpha," it's a sure fire way to get dumped with the classic "it's not you it's me" speech. Has anyone ever tried this and has it worked?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

altho i would try and find a backup/plate before you actually finish it so you dont accidently get stuck in a rut trying to find new women...

Just be a man and break it off if that's what you want. Going the other route is just wrong and there's always the chance that it will backfire and she'll embrace your AFC neediness and your coming on too strong.

This has never worked for me. If a girl has her eyes on you, it's hard to shake her. If you start being needy, they'll eat it up as a sign that you like them. You just can't win in this scenario, and it's a lot more trouble than it's worth. Just break it off with her...you'll be so much happier once you do.
