"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

This is the easiest thing that I have done to get noticed and admired by colleges.

First you need to sign up to the school of your choice's newsletter. Just go to the website, sign up, and you'll receive mail from them, telling you about the colleges.

Next, you need to reply to those letters. Now, nobody replies to those things. Why? I don't know, but when you do reply, the admission officers are definately appreciative.

What should you reply?

This is where you need the College to qualify themselves to YOU! That's right, the College will qualify itself to YOU! Afterall, where else are they going to find someone as incredible as you?

To do this, you'd want to give them some criteria that must be shown by the college.

This is sort of amusing, because Colleges are always getting students to qualify themselves. The students say, I take this course, I go to this club, I have these grades, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me permission to go to your school. What in the world are they thinking?!

You, a DJ, on the other hand, want to get the SCHOOL to qualify themselves to you! You want them to beg you to go there! You flip the tables.

I digest...

Back to the e-mail. You want to tell them what you are looking for in colleges, and sprinkle some DHVs (Demonstration of Higher Value).

For example: Hey (insert the person's name)... Note: People love the sound of their names. The more you use it the better. Just don't overuse it. Calibrate how often you say their names. ...I want a college where I will be challenged, yet not overwhelmed. I want to balance my life with the (insert DHVs) business that a few of my buddies and I are about to start, my passion to play Division I Lacross, and my desire to become the greatest seducer in the world.

Okay, that last one was just to see if you were paying attention...:D

Then you end the e-mail with one of the following, or something as such: So tell me ____(insert name), does (name of school) have a future in my life? How does your school match up to my criteria? Use something along those lines, which works magic!

But that is how you want to do it.

1 - Get them to send you e-mails.

2 - Reply to those e-mails, making them qualify themselves to you. But be genuine about it. Have some standards for which colleges have to meet. Remember, They want/need YOU! Not the other way around.

When you do this, it sets you apart from the rest. It makes you look interested in the college, while being indifferent. You create a challenge for the school. A challenge, that must be overcome. Thus, they will try to get you to go to their school.

You'll make a name for yourself, and you won't just be another application. This means, that you have better chances of getting in, than if you just sent an application, without talking to the school.

Most of the time, these e-mails go to the HEAD of Admissions! That means EVEN BETTER CHANCES of making connections and ultimately getting in.

It also makes it seem like you don't need them, and they have to work for you. You will be seen as independent and mature. They will admire you for it.

They will start to e-mail back, telling you what their school offers and that you can do this and that, etc.

This is just like attacting and seducing girls. You get the Hook. You let them Work for YOU! Once that have EARNED it, you accept them. You give more interest only once that have EARNED it.

Let me know how it goes fellas...

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Pretty good psychology behind this idea, but I think it'd be better to do the same thing in person with an admissions rep either at the school during a visit or a college fair.

I remember there was one college fair where the rep was really attractive, even though I had no interest in the school I sat down and had a lengthy conversation with her about it. (I had nothing better to do :p). I had the attitude that I was above the college, and my questions reflected it, but afterwards she pretty much guaranteed me admission, asked for all my info, etc.

Awesome bro! I just had one of those today, and one of the colleges offered me a fee waver. (It was a guy tho.) But, I'm going to another one at the end of the week.

How did you reach that success when you went? Any tips?
