Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Sorry guys, I wanna rant here for a bit...I don't know how you guys have discipline sometimes...And I have serious issues getting out of "the lifestyle" sometimes...How do you guys get disciplined and stay motivated?

I'm an exotic entertainer...and I'm just in the middle of a crazy weekend, and its the easter long weekend of all weekends...thursday night I had to strip, didn't get home til 3 am, then friday night hung out with a female friend who once openly asked me "when are we gonna sleep together?"...we went to an after hours club and dropped E...i didn't get home til 7 in the morning. I had to strip saturday night as well, I felt like I got hit by a freight train cuz of the E, and after the show that night, I went to a club by myself and just jammed for like a couple of hours. Tonight I have to go show like a hundred girls in another city my weiner...

I have a big essay due wednesday that I haven't even started yet. I have a final in neuromuscular pharmacology tuesday, and another assignment due later today. Finals are just around the corner, and I'm pulling this kinda stupid ****...

I'm 25 years old... I have a gorgeous model girlfriend who's amazing to me and a total good girl...and although I treat her well, I do lotsa things that upset her quite regularly. I have no clue why she puts up with it...I've almost cheated on her, and do drugs, while she's very anti-drug. We've had a couple of fights, one major in which she cried her eyes out and i didn't even shed a tear. All this and we've only been goin out for like 2 months.

I know that I should know better than to pull stupid stuff like that but the lifestyle is so seductive sometimes...how do you guys stay in the zone and work to achieve your goals? I'm just overwhelmed with the school work, and the crazy party lifestyle gives me a nice escape from it, makes it hard to focus.

Sorry about the rant gentlemen...any tips would be appreciated.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I'm friends with several bartenders that are wrapped up in the "lifestyle".

Dude, all I can offer you is that you make friends whose jobs aren't in the alcohol/entertainment industry and spend time with them.

I have offered to "sponsor" a couple of people in the industry so they can come out of that scene. Basically, I'm giving them an escape.

(but, they can't escape to my house... 90 bottles of booze on the wall, 90 bottles of booze, take one down, pass it around, 89 bottles of booze!)

Who I am at work and who I am off the clock are two entirely different people: almost Jekyll and Hyde.

The problem with many people "in the industry" is that they have a problem with leaving work at work because "work is play", and virtually the same as their recreation. So, change your recreation.

During your off time, do things that don't involve booze and drugs. Get out and enjoy the outdoors, fish, hunt, hike, golf, autocross, build something, whatever, just avoid the bar scene.

You have to have balance between work and play. If your work and play are the same, there is no balance, and disaster is likely. Throw yourself at some hobbies.

Thanx for the tips guys...

Kingbeef I'm the stripper and she's the model...She's been offered lotsa chances to do nude modelling but she's very "anti-nudity" when it comes to herself. I am trying to cut back on the drugs too. I've only smoked pot once in the last 3 weeks, and the E was just a spur of the moment decision.

Vulpine its very tough for me during the academic year to have other hobbies. I train 5-6 times a week and have to follow a fairly stringent diet to stay in topline shape, and I take hiphop classes here and there as well. I work 2-3 nights a week dancing, and have a 6 full course load in a fairly demanding program at university. You try getting home after work at 3 am, then having a 8 am class the next morning. Plus the cash situation isn't super solid when you're a student. I guess "the lifestyle" is just an escape...

To tell you guys the truth, I dont' even know why I'm on this forum...I already have a gf, and not to brag but I have no problems meeting women, I have women approach me regularly when I'm working or just out at clubs by myself. I guess its the other parts of my life that I need help in handling... thanx again for the tips.

Oh cry me a river. Way to come up with a bunch of excuses to justify your situation. Well, that's very victimesque.

Go ahead and stay in your situation, then. Just don't come around here crying like a b!tch about it. If you don't like it, change it, and STFU.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Sounds to me like you are starting to become unhappy with the lifestyle. Maybe it's time for you to consider a career change?

You won't fix the other things in your life until you make the time to fix them! That means that you have to cut SOMETHING out. Since all your somethings seem to feed back into your JOB, then it's time to change jobs.

Poor me, poor me! Why me, why me? Why do bad things always happen to good people?

Poor me, I bang a hot chick, good girl, and make her cry. While I just don't give a damn and have my pick with women.

Why do I have to be such a troll??

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Just wondering how many of you guys have never owned property. I have either crashed with the parents, family members or lived in apts for the majority of my life.

Right now I'm in an apartment with the girlfriend. I get tired of dealing with annoying neighbors. Something rather minor happened and they complained to the manager about us. It's not even worth detailing, but I hate petty **** like this.

I'm ready to get a house or condo. I don't want to be tied down to debt though or even having to stay in one city forever.

I just have neighbors in apartments, it's simple as that.
Try not to see owning a mortgage/property as tying you down. Think of mortgages similar to renting but you get some/most of your money back and possibly more at the expense of taxes/fees. If you plan to live in an area for at least 2 years and your rent is the equivalent to paying a mortgage, don't throw it on renting, owning it is a wiser investment.

AGREED

LOL...

Wait a minute I have the same problem as fuglydude. Ok my problem is this.

I am very rich worth about 50 million dollars. I am 6'4 230 pounds with about 4% body fat. I have a 9 inch penis. I have banged over 45 chicks over the last 2 weeks. All of them look like models, and I treat all of them like crap. I don't know why they put up with me.

Now my problem is are these girls just using me for my assets or do they really like me? I really hate being rich, having a 9 inch penis and banging a bunch of supermodels. Please help?

Can anyone please tell me how I can deal with this.
