"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

hey guys, im new on here and i'll have to admit that some of the stuff here is golden! I have experience approaching women and getting the girl, so im not completely in the dark regarding this stuff. But i feel this situation is a bit different...

I recently started working at this restaurant as a server, and there's this girl... lets say her name is Sarah, and she's a hostess. I already started talkin to her to establish some kind of relationship but its nothing really significant. I just went up to her and said "hi, how's work?" and we just talked about how its like working there, and what school she goes to. Then after i cut the convo short by saying, "im gonna take my break now, but my name is Chris." and then she told me her name then i left. My goal is to get this girl, but i feel a bit more cautious doing this because if i do something really stupid, or if things don't work out between us, it'll make the workplace feel a bit awkward.

So, for the Don Juan MASTERS, how would you advise me to approach this situation while keeping the work space comfortable (between me and sarah that is).

Any advise would be great!!! Thanks fellas!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Alright, I dont know how big your workspace is. Nor do I know if I am a "MASTER" don juan. Actually to the second part I really could say that I dont think I am.

Keep in mind that if you think that you can game a girl who is 1/10 employees good luck. Especially if a lot of them are female. In that case they all know already, or at least think they know, who likes you, who doesn't and who they think you like.

To my experience you cannot game a girl at work succesfully unless you expect an LTR. Or unless they are wh0res who dont care about being used. If the second case is not the reality then you will have some type of resentment (anemosity) until one of you quits. You are a server. Is that were you plan to be for a long time? If you dont give a **** then go ahead and pursue it. If you need money, insurance or whatever from this job then why bother. Hit on customers.

Oh and how is this a tip? Put this in the discussion section and you will get more (read better) replies than mine.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Last girl I dated for a month was from work. She was only going to be there temporarily, so if anything went wrong, she'd be the one leaving.

The problem you face is this. If you're working closely with a girl, chances are very good that you two will get to the point where you both will become more interested in each other. My suggestion is to not let things get to the point where you are both seeing each other every day and too often. That is the danger of dating people at work. It can start fast, but can also end fast. We both had an agreement that if things end, we won't let it get bad, and it didn't. We sort of left things on good terms, we still hang out every day, and she's leaving work soon, but we're still going to stay in touch and hang out when we want to.

Either way, it's not as bad as people say, provided that you only get into something if you feel it has potential to be long-term and not just a short term fling only. You should NEVER sleep with co-workers who you don't plan on seeing again after you sleep with them, obviously. Other than that, I haven't had any problems, and this is speaking off real-life experience, not just keyboard jockeying.
