I think his anger was more directed to the health inspector lady, and their worship service being interrupted. Someone on the radio compared this to Jesus overturning the money changers' tables in the Temple. Matthew 21:13: " And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."

I don't know if the guy on the radio was right or not, but maybe.
