Controllers - presently bankers & Catholic church - will use this event, December 20th, 21th, 22nd 2012. Heh, end of the world for some major world restructuring.

The poles shift around all the time. It's very slow and we have years to adjust to it. Magnetic north and true north are not the same point on a map.

The north pole has drifted a lot in the past ten years. It is heading towards Russia now, they are having to repaint the runways at certain airports due to the change in orientation. This is normal and expected however. What you are referring to is a much more extraordinary event. Fossil records show that the field has moved great distance in short amounts of time, which meant drastic climate change and certain death for animals who were not protected from the elements. Apparently Antarctica used to be near the equator and they found dinosaurs there frozen in ice with tropical vegetables in their stomachs. This event will have much less severe implications for modern humans however. So you have one less thing to worry and be paranoid about.
