Now the point that is sometimes overstressed that women love or at least like jerks.But where is the gentlemenliking women?Dont they exist?Doing nice things like showing etiquettes or literary knowledge or poetry or anything of the sort doesnt pay?Not overpretending but dont women like such guys?I think they do.They r infact the romantic people.I f I ve got it wrong correct me

Here's something that most guys completely don't get. All women like those things if SHE LIKES YOU ALREADY. The problem with most guys is that they shower gifts and praise and such on women who really couldn't care less. You can't start out doing these things or you will get the "yuck" reaction described awhile ago on the sosuave site. Unfortunatly men then get the impression that women do not like these things at all. That is false. Girlfriends then get pissed at you because you don't do any of these things and you feel like you can't win. So here it is, plain and simple:

If a girl does not already obviously really like you:

DO NOT shower her with praise. DO NOT give her presents. DO NOT suck up to her in any way. This will not make her like you; quite the contrary, it will make the very thought of you make her say "yuck!"

If a girl does like you:

THEN you can be yourself. THEN you can be the gentleman you should be. THEN you can get her cute little gifts if that's your thing. Because now they will be appreciated. If things like this still give her a "yuck" reaction, she wasn't that interested in the first place and you should find someone else.

I used to think I needed to change myself and become more of a jerk, because the gentleman thing wasn't working. It's no surprise that being a jerk drove a lot of people away and made me less popular. I now realise it wasn't the gentleman in me that put women off, it was the wuss in me that used to supplicate to them.

I wish guys would forget this jerk mentality. It does not work. It's said that women love jerks, but it's the confidence and unpredictability of the jerk they love, not his ignorance.

There's nothing that makes me cringe more than a guy purposely trying to be a jerk to impress a woman.
