1) Is an affair grounds for resigning from high level position? I mean, the CIA is suppose to sneak around, do things we don't know about, right? In this day and age, should he have resigned? Clinton didn't. Is it just me or does this make no sense?

2) I could see him resigning if it was with a subordinate, but it wasn't a co-worker. The woman in question:

3) Does anyone else think this has absolutely nothing to do with an affair and is really about something else CIA-related that we'll never know about? Some say it has to do with Benghazi, if so why mention the affair in the first place? He could have just resigned for Benghazi and not bring his personal life into it.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Hillary Clinton is supposedly out too. I'm calling BS on this "affair" and think it has to do with a foreign "Affair".

At this point it doesn't matter as our "glorious" leader can do no wrong while the rest will jump on the sword for the "greater good" of the US.

"We're all in this together" LMFAO.

Next they'll be legalizing pot in as many states as they can, they'll have every fruitcake or God knows what else they are into marrying animals etc. Everyone with a job will be supporting even more low lives of every nationality who "can't work", we'll be allowing anyone and everyone to walk into the country to vote with or without drivers licences or any kind of solid proof of citizenship for free healthcare, abortions, "medical" marijuana, etc.''

Hell we might as well not even bother letting people go through the trouble of coming into this country at this point. Just have them all vote from other countries as to who are next glorious dem leader should be and we'll promise them everything under the sun because they're all "victims" and the evil empire of the US is suppressing them.

Of course while the liberals create jobs for themselves and or take as many donations as they can etc. to "help" these eternal "victims".

The fall of Rome is coming soon. Congratulations!

He was due to testify next week in a congressional hearing about Benghazi.

There'd been talk of impeachment hearings had Obama been reelected.

I can't believe that doesn't have something to do with this.

It could be he's resigning not because he did anything wrong about Benghazi, but he feels Obama did, and this is just an excuse to retire early without really pointing any fingers.

Whenever something like this goes down, all the top dogs know about it long before it happens. It's been discussed, and decided upon to cause the least amount of negative publicity.

Who knows. But it certainly ain't about an affair.

Nowadays, most if not all of a woman's problems can be solved if she gets married. Most if not all of a man's problems can be solved if he doesn't.

Exactimundo.

Most of these people who are in high level positions are blackmailed to be kept in line. Once they deviate from their mandate they're "exposed". It's more about keeping government secrets than about the actual affair.

"Everyone" knew about this affair. It just takes a cell-phone record to see who's fvcking who.

They waited for the election to be over to kick him to the curb.

General David Petraeus (Ret.) is a highly accountable individual and did a great job in Iraq and in his short term in Afghanistan after General Stanley McChrystal was released. I'm not in their branch but get the opportunity to wear the same uniforms and being an "elite" means something entirely different than it does to civilian-snobs.

I've been through background investigations where they've asked if I've had any extramarital affairs. They're looking for that loyalty and again, the accountability that can't necessarily be instilled into sub-contractors. I was watching the D.C. news and they mentioned that the president said Petraeus was a very accomplished man and did a tremendous job for our national security and operations overseas and that he would pray for him during these tough times he and his wife were going through. The news anchors even said, notice how he never referred to the affair during the briefings?

We got fudge packers getting married at the base chapel and being declared “heroes” for it and Patraeus is getting sh!t-canned for banging a star fvcker?

In a sane society the man who has proved himself worthy of running the intelligence agency would be provided with a concubine and an executive apartment so he concentrate on doing his job.
