^Thats the thing though, why should I care about the personal life of someone just doing their job? It doesnt effect me in ANY way. If two law abiding adults wanna date, I dont care who they are. Some of you guys focus way too much on gay folks. I just know they exist, and go about my business not caring. But hey, I cant be too miffed by your viewpoints, considering the time period in which you grew up.
If some dude is an announcer and is gay, I dont give a fvk. If a soldier is gay, I respect him for protecting my freedoms, and proceed not to give a damn about his personal life. Their personal lives effect me in no way. Some of you really need to mature some and stop worrying so much about others personal lives, especially considering it really has no bearing on your own life. Go be happy and just live. Call LGBT men and women sexually depraved folks all you want. At the end of the day, your viewpoints are dying in America.
So I guess since thats the case, if you need a place to vent, the internet is really the only place many of you have left. I just dont see how someones personal life affects you in any way. Im sure someone will start trying to act like the rights LGBT people are getting somehow has a negative impact on the lives of others, but I just dont see it. So you all can say what you will about your own perceived reality. All I can do is shake my head and chuckle about the fact that youve already lost, and wont ever have society be what you want it to be.
I do wonder if you would show disdain and disrespect toward a friend or family member if they happened to be gay. Trust me, every family member is bound to have someone whos LGBT (considering how big families are, you cant expect the law of averages)....but not everyone feels comfy being honest about who they are to people who are hostile to the idea. In which case youd prolly never know.
My thing has always been this...like Ive said before...do you care about civil liberties? If so, you cant pick and choose which law abiding citizens get them. Everyone who follows the law of the land should have equal rights and civil liberties. End of story.
