I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

It was a quiet Wednesday night. I'm tirelessly working on a big project due in just two days (the thing that sucks is I've spent at least 10 hours on it but I'm not even close to being done  ) and got a phone call. It was a man who asked me what was due in this class the following week (it was a big lecture room so I don't know who this kid is) and I told him. He then said I was kind of hot and asked if I was into that kind of thing. I told him I was not (why would I be gay if there are millions of hot b1tches to nail?) and he hung up.

I asked all my friends if they called and they didn't. It wasn't a prank, it was legitimate.

At this point I became confused. I heard that gay men hitting on you is a good thing because they are picky but could that also mean that I'm giving off gay vibes? I mean, I consider myself attractive, I am well groomed, and wear nice clothes. I'm not usually with a girl so maybe this kid thought since I was an attractive person, since I wasn't with an attractive woman, I must be gay?

Any stories where gay men have hit on you? For those that may know, is a gay person hitting on you a good thing or a bad thing?

I'm just curious about the whole thing. Usually I don't ask for advice from people here because I'm one to just dive in and see what happens but I am curious about this since it hasn't happened to anyone I know.

Due to my line of work this happens to me a lot. Like you I also seem to get it because I dress well and am not always hanging around with women.

I also have several gay friends and a bit of a pretty boy which doesn't help. Sounds funny but the more pretty you are, as opposed to handsome, the more you'll get hit on from guys.

The best thing you can do is just tell them honestly, they're not normally pushy because if you're not gay there's not really anything they can do about it (it's the same deal with real DJ's and women) and word will soon get around that you're straight.

Yo...I had a similiar thing happen to me. A friend of mine broke it down for me. It's not that your giving off a gay f*uck me in the a*ss and give me aid's vibe...with bisexuality prevelant you never know who wants to "play".

Apperantly there are a lot of dudes who want to "hook up" now adays. Personally I would rather stick my dyck in a meat grinder than let a dude touch me...but I'm old fashioned and old school. We used to call them queers and sent them to therapy before they did that big assed commin outta the closet movement back in the 80's.

Now if you voice any dislike of what they represent your called a dinosaur and worse names....funny how times change bruh. We used to beat them with baseball bats and now were called breeders by them with discust on their high pitch voices...lol.

What I really hate are the sell outs. Straights who call you names when don't buy into the gay rights hype.

Well enough ranting. Gay f*uck will hit on you no matter what kind of vibe your giving off. They have gotten bold in these queer times.

Be flattered and take it with a grain of salt. If you're an attractive guy, gay men are gonna see it just as moch as women do. Most gay men aren't faries running around in pink lycra and listening to Cher.

If a hot lesbian were asking this question, you'd all be laughing at her. Just shrug it off, tell the guy you're straight, and be done with it.

Tell it to em straight bruh. Still, before this I remember the good ol'days when when we just used to call "African-Americans" nieggers; we would lynch em up and make em use colored bathrooms, this is all before they did that big Civil Rights Movement in the 60s.

Now, if you voice any dislike of what they represent you are called a white-supremacist or a neo-nazi...funny how times change bruh. We used to firebomb their houses and leaving burning crosses in their front lawns and now we're called KKK by them with their improper english ebonics...lol.

What I can't stand are the sell-outs. You know, whites who call you racist when you don't buy into the niegger hype.

Well, enough ranting. Nieggers will hit on white women no matter what. They have gotten bold in these black times.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Where I be at
which one, both are as funny and offensive. In these days which is more taboo? Race or Sexuality? You can't get offended at one and not the other.

Wow, a lot of ignorance in this thread.

Just shrug it off, tell the guy you're straight, and be done with it.
Thats pretty much what I did. What I was wondering was if that was a good thing.

I hope that supposed to be satirical.
Thats what it came off to me. honeyshark was making fun of Player_Supreme because he was ignorant about gay people. I didn't know that Player_Supreme was black. Oh well.

Whats all this talk about "I don't hang out with girls so they think I'm gay"?? I know a bunch of gay men and they hang out with tons of girls....and gay men...............

Take it as a compliment, tell him you are already taken by a guy thats bigger than him and move on.

nothing to worry about

I lived with a gay guy for the past two years and have probably been to gay bars over 50 times, hit on by hundreds of guys, tried to have guys convert me probably 20 or so times. You sort of get used to it, sort of learn to take it as a compliment, but not really.

Listen, don't worry about looking gay. From my experiences hanging out with gay guys, they basically play by the three second rule far more than straights do. The odds of a gay guy not meeting someone by the end of the evening if he really wants it are pretty small. Gay men really don't have relationships in the sense that straights do (LTR are EXTREMELY rare in the gay community), and when they do, those relationships often have other partners written in on the side. In other words, gay guys are pretty much constantly on the prowl, and if they hit on you, they just found you attractive.

weirds me out

I have been hit on occaisionally by gay people. It really creeps me out actually. I take it as a compliment and I will try to explain at the risk of sounding conceited.

I am a very friendly, outgoing, and fun person. I am not effeminate in the least and can be overbearing in my masculinity at times. I assume that the gay guys are attracted to me because of my personality; just the same as a girl would be.

As far as I'm concerned being hit on by BOTH girls and gay guys is a good thing. It shows you have an attractive personality in general. Although if you were drawing attention from JUST the gay people, then there might be some cause for concern.

I get hit on a ****load from gay dudes on my Facethejury profile. That's probably due to the fact im a muscular attractive man and they go for that ****.

Lately, I give off the "don't even try it ****er" look to any dude who looks at me in a club/bar and they get the picture. Before i put up the "anti-gay" shield dudes would try to see if i swinged that way too. Especially during a trip to Montreal I got approached by about 3 of them in one night.

But who cares, unless they push it. I think it's kind of funny.

On a side note: I believe homosexuality is a disorder and there is nothing you can do to convince me otherwise. Unfortunately the gay lobby won't admit to this and poor human beings who might be able to be corrected through gene or psychological therapy in the future won't get help. Sperm is mean't for an egg not a man's hairy ass, so attraction to females is normal and natural. And females have a hole intended for a **** to impregnate their eggs them not for a rubber prong from another female.

The thought of a gay guy hitting on me disgusts me and is something that I would not recognize. I'd probably mutter out a silent curse that I never had a girl before and I'm getting this crap and feel very frustrated.

I would want then want to get laid or get a relationship with a woman even faster just to express my sexual orientation - since I never had either being over 31 y/o properly, I'd feel VERY uncomfortable if that happened to me.

I dont feel masculine enough as it is and am a virgin, but it would motivate me to do more approaches or seek out actions with girls just to validate my hetrosexual orientation since I'm not really sexual with women at all and tend to be averse to being sexually expressive with any woman - but that would virtually force me just to validate my hetrosexual identity against that frame.

I shouldn't be ashamed of being hetrosexual - but my faith makes me so because it says virtually anything hetrosexual is sinful - bible says - it's lustful to look at a woman and therefore a sin, right? Or that pre-maritial sex is sinful. But - how do you know you are straight if you dont lust, right?
