"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Okay, so after last night's rampage I decided that I'll use the opener I thought of as a routine more often.

"Hey guys, can I have a moment, I need a female opinion on something.." (never wait for approval/validation, this is not a question, you just say it to catch their attention and to make sure they're listening)

"I gave a girl my number, but I kind of regret it. What should I do when she calls?"

If they want to help you and show you what girl has your number, tell them that it was in another bar, earlier that day/evening (unless you really gave your number to someone and want to get it back, like me last night).

Girls get into this, man, because girls often are in the situation where they'll just give a guy their number (or a fake one) just to **** him off.

Chick crack.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I'm confused.
First, how would they be able to SHOW you the girl who you gave your number to?

Second, how do you get it back? Aren't numbers usually stored in cel phones? Meaning they could delete it, but wouldn't that be weird if you were thinking of approaching a girl and asking her to delete your number.

Anyways, it doesn't sound like a bad way to get a conversation started

I'll test it as well and report back later tonight.

Next time though field test material BEFORE writing it as a tip!

I used it twice the night I came up with it.

At this moment it was true though, I had actually given a girl my number and I did not want her to have it. So in one of the cases the girl grabbed my hand and she wanted me to show the girl, then we walked over to her and the HB grabbed my number from the girl, lol.

But to answer Jukeboxhero.. The above is not relevant for the routine itself. The routine itself is simply:

"blabla female opinion"

"I gave my phone number to a girl, earlier this day/evening/night, but after talking to her for some more I realized I had made a mistake. What do I do when she calls?"

There is a possibility that a girl will want to help you get your number back / deleted from the other girl's phone. If this is the case, then tell her that it was in another bar and just ask her again "so what do I do when the girl calls me, do I just ignore it, or do I answer and tell her what??"

I usually don't prepare a whole list of routines. I just open and then try to flow. Right now my sticking point's to approach and open anyway, not to hold really long sets.

So I haven't thought of good follow-up routines.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

It's hard to come up with follow-up routines because every situation and girl is different. I, personally, am not a fan of 'routines.' I like to go with the flow. The opener I've used lately has been, "How are you(y'all) doing tonight?" If you ask this, lean in, and listen, she/they will begin to talk. The reason you need to listen to them is to catch opportunities to further the conversation with something that she says that may be of interest to you. I have attempted closing with this, but I have been rejected each time. Each time they said they had a bf, which may or may not be the truth, but it's not surprising to me in my town.
