Gaining Weight / Muscles! (at age 16)

I am 16 years old and I am only 5 foot 6, 105 pounds! This is so rediculous 105 pounds is like lighter than most girls!

I want to gain some weight now and build some muscles. But I have a child-like face and I think I would look weird if I be muscular with my face.

I am also a hard gainer so how many times do I train per week? I heard 1-2 times a week is good? I want to weigh to at least 160-180 pounds, is a 50-70 pound gain even possible before I finish high school (I am finishing grade 10)? I don't have money so I can't buy body training books.

Are there any online free training guides for gaining weight and muscles?

Does increasing my testosterone mean that I would have a tougher time concentrating on academics? I want to be physical at the same time academic.

Women may be not be my strong point but working out? I own the weights.

Now, since your young and and have never been training with weights before i assume I think it's best you start with full body workouts. It teachers your muscles to start coordinating done and the many compound exercises will increase your testosterone levels.

I personally love www.stronglifts.com . Look up the 5x5 program.

Not only will this increase your size and tetosterone you'll get pretty ****ing strong from the squats, deadlifts, overhead presses etc.

I went from 120 pounds to 148 on this program. All muscle. I jumped to 165 when I started conventional body building workouts but ever since Muay Thai I've dropped back down to 150 and have been staying there, with like 6% body fat.

I've just switched back to 5x5 right now to increase my strength and endurance.

Now for a regular three day routine like regular bodybuilders (not powerlifters, these are totally different) here was my routine.

All of these are 3x10 (with the exception of 21's)

Monday-Chest/Back

Incline Dumbbell Presses
Flat Bench Press
Machine Flys
Bent over rows
Reverse Flys
Pull Ups

Tuesday-Rest!!!

Wednesday-Arms (biceps, triceps, and forearms)

Twenty One's
Preachers curls (barbell)
Hammer Curls (dumbbells)
Diamonds
Pulldowns (pulley)
Dips (bodyweight or machine/ switch between both)

For the forearms just do whatever you like, whether its regular wrist curls or something more dramatic you found on the internet.

Thursday-REST!!!

Friday-Legs/Core

Squats
Calf Raises
Lunges
Prayer Situps
Hanging leg lifts

Saturday-REST!

Sunday-REST!

On the whole testosterone affecting your academics, no not at all. But you will find yourself chasing tail alot and being a bit more blunt/aggressive. When I mean aggressive I don't mean roid rage like, but more "I'm a man now so ****ing deal with it *****"

Believe me, after a 5x5 workout it will send you back to good ol cro magnom days where you want to just rip a ****ing ostrich's head off.
