Last night I took a girl to the International Comedy Festival, in Melbourne. Everything went smooth. Looked good, smelt good, picked her up on time, kissed her hello, knew exactly which roads to take, and how long it would take, conversation flowed easily. Hell, i even made an awesome reverse park.
Everything was perfect.
It was monday night, why would I need to book tickets? It was a local comedian, of course there'd be some seats. It was in a big hall.
and suddenly everything fell to peices. There were no tickets remaining. We couldn't see the show. I had no backup plan. My original plan was in tatters.
Luckily i'm experienced in saving bad dates. We did manage to have fun.
The moral of the story? Give yourself enough time to plan your dates properly, not just taking the time to get ready, know everything thats going to happen. You'll save yourself from being very embarrassed and having to re-evaluate what to do.
