"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

"Thank you for an absolutely amazing evening"... hearing those words from a girl you are interested in is really a morale boost.

However, why do I find myself wanting to avoid her?

We have known eachother for some time now and I've been dropping hints to her that I'm interested in something more than a friendship along the way.

Today was one of the few occasions when we met outside school. She was together with some friends, but they (thankfully) decided to take an early night, leaving me and her alone. I spent the time as usual CF and used a LOT of kino on her. It was also the first time she suggested that we should take a walk up to some more isolated parts of the city. When we arrived there (all the time having her talk about stories she likes) we shared some moments just looking up at the stars and talking about constellations. On her request I also showed her a path to the backside of an old chapel, for some reason she prefered to hold around my wrist than around my hand while we were walking up. Once up there I was blessed with some rustles in the bushes that made her a bit nervous and gave an excellent oppertunity to pulle her close and whisper into her ear.

Now, at that point it could have been the perfect setting to kiss her, but something inside me warned me that this was not the right moment so I didn't make the move. May have been a bad decition, but what's done's done.

Regarding KINO, on the way down the path again she locked her arm around mine and talked a bit about a sleezy guy she'd met at school earlier that day and asked if I wanted to accompany her the next day and occupy him. At which I kindly refused.
<<< In the light of Looking Back I could have suggested that she could present me as her boyfriend perhaps?

The rest of the night was spent talking about her, her family, her upbringing, what kind of goals she had in life, what kind of guys that had been hitting on her in the past, some personal naivë stories about her and.... unfortunately, also got me to talk about my views on a relationship, at which I responded that I believe that a partner need to be given the respect to pursue her own goals and that her male partner should allow her to be the woman she'd like to be.
<<< I really hate to talk about issues with such gravity as it removes a lot of the Mystery I usually to maintain

After this point I accompanied her a bit further until her bodylanguage said "you can follow me to this spot, but I won't let you follow me back to my door". We had some end chatting, with her starting to hit back on me with some CF on her own, long eye-contact and the last embrace (yes, AFC!) she persisted on holding onto my hand for a few moments. As I was turning to leave she also called after me and wondered if I would be at school the coming monday before eleven so I could help her in case the sleezy guy she had met would show up again. I responded with a casual "Maybe".

The story does, of course, have a lot more details but I'll leave them out for now and rather add some if needed. What I've decided is to stick to the Keep Away since we've seen eachother a lot this week, and I do not intend to get any closer to getting shot with some LJBF bullets straight in the face. In addittion to this I'm also wondering if I should (just to be sure) prepare to use some of the Get out of the Friend Zone tricks from this site. Perhaps also fire up some hardcore Ganji.

I wouldn't consider the meeting to be a true date, even though we did a lot of the things I'd expected a date with her to be, we did run into eachother and did not meet at an agreed point.

After leaving her I'm also left with a strange feeling that not everything is at it should be and I'm really not that interested in meeting her so soon. Is there anything that I may have failed to notice? Should I consider my next move or wait until she makes one?

Gotcha on that one.

Starting to open my eyes to other girls during this summer.

Right now I'm away from her for the next month and a half, she's given me the "stay in touch", but I really don't know. I mean... more than a month with the only form of communication through mails and phone calls? Could be possible if she was the only one calling, but nah...

One of my major issues is that I don't notice the "Too Late" sign before I've passed it.

So don't bother at all by using ganji? Just kill the connection and move on? Friends hell sounds worse than the LJBF zone.
