"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

So hello everyone, I used to have a login here, however I forgot it.

Tonight was an amazing night. I met an absolutely gorgeous girl, AND SHE CAME ONTO ME. She would have been my new #1 most attractive girl that I've hooked up with. We have a great time at the club, and we leave with some friends to get food. While she and her friend sit down with everyone else, I go to get some water for us. While I'm waiting at the counter, this random girl who's with us, comes up to me and starts talking about my chances with this beautiful girl.

Since I barely know random girl, I try not to talk too much about my chances. She then walks away goes back to the table and TELLS everyone at the table that she had been talking about how I was going to hook up with #1 beautiful girl. She also makes sure to mention that #1 beautiful girl's best friend also thinks I'm attractive.

I return with bottles of water for everyone, and of course my #1 beautiful girl doesn't even want to look at me, much less talk to me. I spend the rest of the evening wondering what the **** I've done wrong. After everyone leaves, my roommate lets me know what happened. I secured a promise from #1 hot girl that she'll come out with us again tomorrow night.

My question for the forums, is this: What can I do to repair this? Anything I should say or not say if I actually get to see her tomorrow?

Replies are appreciated!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Ignore it completely. Do not think about it and do not mention it.
The random girl made the BS up, it are not your words.
You have good intentions and you know that she'll be glad to hook up with you.

Disrespect does not deserve any attention.
Don't let the BS immobilise you. This is your reality and it's one where you decide what happens.
And if she's interested, this won't bother her that much. If she's not, her loss.

Thanks man, that's what I was thinking too. I'll just act like I don't know what's going on and hopefully she'll forget about the whole thing.

She was most likely quiet when you came back 'cos she was embarrassed or self-conscious. You could have diffused it a bit with "geez [random girl] talks shyt...", with a bit of a laugh.

Also, she might have sent "random girl" to talk to you to find out what you think of her (if I read the story right).

Anyway, for the rest of it, I agree with Holland.

Well, I didn't know the heinous girl had said anything until afterwards, so I couldn't really diffuse the situation...

And the girl didn't send that girl to feel me out. She wasn't friends with her. The random girl screwed me over to get back at my roommate, because he won't literally "screw" her.

But we're going out again tonight. We'll see what happens.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
