"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I've had this problem for awhile now and i find it pretty hard to turn a friend i've known for about 7 years now into a potential lover. I really don't know why i want to cross the line but for some reason, i just started having feelings for her. And im usually very confident but with this situation... it's iffy. I think what makes it so hard is that we've very touchy feelie with each other but on a comfortable level because we've known each other for so long. Like kisses on the cheek, she sits on my lap all the time, i grab her ass playfully, sleep with her (actually sleep), and when we dance its always some heavy grindin, feelin on her ass and tits. We never went beyond that. So to others it may seem like we're flirtin with each other a lot, but to us it's normal. I know her parents very well, actually i'm really cool with her whole family, and her brother is one of my best friends. What's worst she considers me her best friend and God brother. I think i should drop it, but i never really given up on anything.

Well i'm seeing if any of you DJs have a suggestion or had a situation like this similiar and how you dealt with it. I've talked to her about it before and she said it felt wierd talkin to me about it, so i tried to comfort her and just say it's only talk. I tried again at another time indirectly, casually complimenting like, "if we were together i would never do that to you" or "imagine what we would do to each other cause we're both freaks". She knows my reputation and i messed with a bunch of her friends before. Perhaps she's just scared to cross the line...

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hmmmmm...friends don't touch each other asses and tits do they?, just be smooth and get drunk together and grab her hand and lead her into your bedroom...it sounds like it is already there but one of you is scared to make the move.

Try it on with her sexually :p. Sounds like it is worth a try and I assume she would like it because she has let your do things before and she trusts you by now.

Only down side is, that if you got with her and then she dumped you. Would be be emotionally fine with going back to being just friends or would you have a problem with it?

I was once in a situation similar to yours, and one night I just kissed her out of the blue.. don't know how well it will work for you but it worked out pretty nicely for myself. Made for a good summer and then I moved away... I'd say give it a shot, sounds like you two are close enough that it might work. Just know there's always the possibility of it back-firing on you..

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
