"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey guys, I've been out for a while and kinda need some words of wisdom. Ya see now that I've been DJing and been getting kind of smarter, I'm getting turned off by my friends. ( And no we're not having sex or anything like that. :p ) It's cause my new lifestyle and theirs totally don't clique, they drink, they smoke and do all that heavy stuff and their asses are all brainwashed by AFC and jerk off philosophies. Dunno, But I'm probably going to drift away from my old crew and find some dudes who are more laidback, don't really give a damn if I hurt their feelings, gotta break my habit of being a freaking people pleaser, don't really care if I'm going to be a loner for a while, Independence rocks nyways. What do you guys think?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Good for you dude!! Rock on!!

I've recently come to the same kind of conclusion.
Life's too short to waste worrying about what other people think.

i feel ya...sometimes it seems like the people you regularly hang with aren't on the same level...not like a higher or lower level but just that you've gone 2 separate directions and you want to do one thing while they're doing something along the lines of the opposite direction. i'm almost 23...that's happened many times since HS. that's just the way life goes i believe.
