"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hey guys, I'm an avade reader of the DJ bible and thanks to it, I have been able to hang out with a new chick. We hung out last night with her friend and I intiated kino and ****y +funny, the chemisrty was great and we kissed goodnight.
If she was any other chick I'd continue to see her regardless.
But there are 2 intertwined problems
1. She is 2 years younger than me (Im in grade 11, her in grade 9)
2. Her brother which is my age (been friendly) has a huge problem with us hanging out and has flipped out and might go physical with me if we continue (I could win the fight, but I dont like making enemies)
I'm not sure whether to pursue her(we have amazing chemistry, shes attractive, and we get along great) or to listen to her brother and leave her alone.
Im thinking of talking to him (going for a walk) and discussing that I plan to pursue this into sumthin bigger and shes not another one of my girls and i respect her.
You guys are my last resort, Im in a pickle, what do you suggest?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I am in this girls position- personally, if you like her, go for it.
Although be prepared for this guys reaction.

In time, he SHOULD realise that it's YOUR relationship, not his.

I talked to her brother on msn and after alot of convincing and repeating what he said, he mentioned of her being 2 years younger, that we could hangout but if I "touched her" he would get his 20+ year old brother to deal with it.
Then he asked if we did anything. I didn't want to lie, so I said we pecked goodnight, and he flipped again, saying he doesn't care what she or i do (lying) just don't let me see you together.

I do care about her but her brother's way too overprotective and the risk vs rewards in this situation are pretty close.
Opinions?
thnx

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

try getting to know her parents would be my suggestion, like get the girl to invite you over for dinner or something. It will be uncomfortable for you, but keep your cool, be polite and make polite jokes, and they will love you. if the parents like you, the brother won't care.

cheers

Haha! I got alittle sis and shes at the age that shes start havin bfs so as a brother I myself is extremely protective. Any guy that look at my sis wrong or touch her(kino) or even talk to her wrong i would bust his brain open. The thing is i feel that alot of guys now a days are irresponsible, imature, uncontrolable dumbasses. Therefore inorder for a guy to date my little sis hell in order for him to talk to her he must demonstrate he got what it takes to treat her right, to take resposibility , to sacrifice. So i hope that little insight on the bro thing helpd ya. If i was you i would demonstate value to that guy showing that I'm a real man not like all the losers his sis dated in the past. Becareful tho becuase that guy might be like me and just go crazy on your as*S if theres a sight that he dont like.

So you're saying you would try to beat someone up for TOUCHING your little sister? You're a moron. You know for a fact that your sister is going to be attracted to the very guys you seem to despise. If you really cared about her maybe you would stay out of her business. I hate overprotective guys like you. It's almost like you are holding onto your sister for your own purposes.... just because you want to fu-ck her doesn't mean other guys can't have her. How old are you, like 12? I'm so sure those guys are going to be intimidated by someone like you.

Bunsen, what are you waiting on? I don't see why you even care what her brother thinks. She is only 2 years younger than you, fair game. Fu-ck what that guy thinks, he doesn't own her, and he isn't fu-cking her, she's yours. You capitalize on that "chemistry" you've been having with that girl and take that bit-ch to town.

Dont be a smartass, haha Id beat your brains in b*tch if you was in my face saying that. Look dont act all big and bad because ofthe fact that your in ur little chair all protected by your parents. Your smart remarks didnt help anybody, not was it even necessary. Not that that have been said. Point is if your the guy that is in a state that is liking someones' little sister i would strongly recommend you to rethink about it. It is natural for a big brother to be protective, thats how were all programed. Thing is to get to the little sis you have to go through the brother, so do you want to take that chance?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Wow, you're some maturity you've demonstrated there. Now that you've made an even bigger fool of yourself, maybe you should try thinking. There are millions of little sisters out there with brothers who aren't such dumbasses, I know a few myself. You can beat on your chest all you want and pretend you own her pus-sy, but in the end, you're either going to get you ass kicked, or you're going to end up being very unpopular, or both.

I have a sister, though she is a twin, and doesn't go to my school, but I would let her do whatever she wanted, because I do whatever I want, and there is no reason to stop her. I trust she has good judgement. Of course I think some of my old pals like her, and I know they are big pervs.

But yeah, us with sisters are protective, it can't be helped. I know some guys that liked her, and I would beat there asses if they ever messed with her. I know a guy, he is kind of a stalker, and I would so totally beat him up, except that he has kind of layed off, so I won't have to.

But yeah, you definitely have to win over the brother, or we will not cooperate at all. Sorry, that's just how it is.

Good luck.

Fu-ck bros, I'm all about the ho-es. I understand that you try to keep her away from bad guys, but most guys are the same way, they just want sex. Good luck defending her from the world.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
