Friends' Advice

Well...this is amusing. Okay, so I have this girl I met a while back IM me the other day and we start talking. She sends me her picture and such, and I'm using the C&F routine for all it's worth. I'm busting on her for stuff, never giving a straight answer, and assumably making her laugh from all of the "LoL"s and "Hahahaha"s I get from her. And she gives me her phone number without my asking, and tells me to call her since I'm off work tomorrow.

Now, this is where it gets interesting. My friend gave her my SN, and she's talking to him as this is happening. She is wondering if I like her and all that good stuff, and my friend, who's a major AFC, is telling me to "be a nice guy, since that's who she thinks I am and it's working for me". He tells me to promise to call her as soon as possible, and generally lose all control I may have at this point. You know, break down, tell her I love her, etc. It was shockingly disgusting to hear this from the guy, and I knew right then why he hadn't seen a member of the opposite sex in as many years as I have known him.

"Promise to call her, right NOW. Take my advice. Trust me. I know."

Yeah...okay, dude.

Hmm...seems there's no real question or topic of discussion in that last post unless anyone else wants to gripe about their own AFC friends.

So, I'll focus this a little more. Do you think the C&F is working for me? Should I see her tomorrow when I have a day off from work and I'm not doing anything anyway? What should we do together? Should I kill my friend right now?

P.S. I've shown him SoSuave.Com and he's only made fun of me for doing so. "You need a website?" type thing. I don't care, really. He can wallow in AFC hell forever if he wants. I'm going through with rehab.

it happens so often it's not even funny.....

guys are convinced that they KNOW the secret to girls (you know, what they've seen in afc movies and heard girls themselves say "they like"), yet it doesn't occur to them that there could be a reason for their lack of success with women (don't be surprised, if there's anything the human mind is good at, it's making excuses).......

you can't really tell them they're wrong, because then they'll just think you're an idiot, and you'll "never get anywhere with women" (real quote from a friend of mine just before I went home with a HB), while they have more girls who want to be his *friend* than Ghandi.

all you can really do is ignore them, or show them this site (but then think about it..... do you *really* want all your friends to knwo about this site? )...... don't try to rationalize with them.... it'll never work..... and guys like this will pop up EVERYWHERE

I just had two of my friends practically yelling at me to do all this AFC ****. Well, as close as you can get to yelling over the internet. I just replied to both of them with a big, grinning smiley and said, "Alright, dude. Whatever you say."

I mean, I'm sure I come off the same way on their end of the conversation. I'm pretty sure I'm doing the right thing, but we'll just have to wait and see, won't we? Arguing with my friends doesn't get me the girl.

If I succeed in my quest for DJ status, I can come back and say, "Hm, after all this *****, I forgot what we were arguing about..."
