friend i havent spoken to in 4 years...she finally contacts me.

It's been almost 4 years since i last spoke to this good female friend of mine. The last time i spoke to her was back in h.s.

All of a sudden at work today, i receive an instant message from her with her new screen name. Obviously 4 years ago she changed her screen name and never contacted me, until today. of course i always had her home #, but i never had a reason to call so i didnt bother.

She asks if i wanted to get togheter to shoot pool with 2 of her other friends (that i also happen to know), and i agreed. and we traded mobile #'s.

Although i find this a little strange and late. I'm actually glad she got in touch with me.

im not exactly sure how i should react when i see her. for all i know i could come off as fake, since i've changed so much over the years. Give her a big hug and continue the way we were?

Be friendly since she was cordial enough to ask you out. You wouldn't be out of line in asking her why she contacted you out of the blue.

Anything is possible; she might have a good memory about you and wants to approach you for herself, or she's thinking that one of her friends that she is bringing along will like you. Keep your options open and have fun.

Update:

well, went out to hang with her and her friends. played some pool and ate out. im surprised i didnt have to pay a penny, lucky me! Of course i didnt know they held that kind of tradition.

When i saw her i gave her a big hug. It's rare for me to give anyone hugs, but eh , hell why not?

I dont know why but when we're iwth people she's not really talkative, especially not with me anyway. At first i thought she was intimidated by me cause i changed so much, or maybe it was me cause i easily intimidate people.

But anyway as everyone parted, me and her were on the same path. We chatted quite a bit. Told me she worked at baskin robbins and her hours, and i told her i'd visit her this weekend...etc.

Anyways to cut the long sotry short, i didnt ask her why after 4 years she contacts me. But she did tell me that her friend joe (which i happen to know), mentioned to her that he'd seen me at college (we attended the same college), that i had gotten taller, etc. Which probably hinted to why she contacted me, to see how much i've changed. curiosity killed the cat right?
Now im just exhausted....

She hasnt changed much, and is still the same. But she's gotten prettier & taller i admit that!

I remember last fall i saw her with her bf in teh street. Im guessing they broke up and she began to think of me....and thus is where i am today.

Just take it easy. I bet you anything that she was bored one day and saw your #/SN and said "what the hell". HOWEVER...if you like what you see, play it cool and hook up on a date or something w/o the two others there. Maybe she did contact you for some other reason than just pool. See if she is genuinely interested and then DJ her off her feet.

Regardless if i am, i dont give a ****.

For a fact, i dont have that much friends. and the current ones i do have, we end up doing the same ****. she's a cool person and i'd rather have her as a friend. I happen to know her bro and her other friends. Altho the option of getting into her pants is probable, it would be the last thing on my mind.

But if anything were to happen down the line....it wouldnt have been unexpected.
