Free Technical Computer Help For Those In Need..

I notice now and then there will be someone in need of computer help searching for answers to technical questions that can really get frustrating as I can relate.

I have been using a forum now for years called Tech Support Guy..It is completely free run by volunteers and paid for by donations and sponsors..It might say guy but a couple years ago there was a lady who helped me solve my computer issues and all I can say is she was one smart lady and I believe she might still be around..

I had big problems awhile back that if I took my computer in to someone local it would have cost me some bucks to get it fixed and I got it handled free by this site. Though I ended up giving a donation of 20 bucks because I just felt it was the right thing to do but I didn't have to and neither do you but thats up to you to decide.

I like the place because your not made to feel stupid. If you don't understand the issues with the computer if you have some computer skills like I do like common sense and with these guys help you'll fix your computer problems with ease or with less frustration just ask your question on their forum..Actually it says there is no such thing as a stupid question but they'll the easiest to answer..

With that said go here http://www.techguy.org/ register go to the forums and search the type of software you have or computer problem and ask away.

Anyway, I know many of you here are on a tight budget and this site will save you a bunch of headaches and money whenever you have technical computer issues that might need to be serviced by someone else...give them a try before you send your computer to someone else.

Hope they help solve your computer issues like they did mine..They made my day back then and still do.

certain websites havnt been working for me the past few days.
gmail, yahoo, myspace, urbandictionary, etc. will not open at all, and other websites will, lately the internet has been fvcking up and its getting really frustrating! appreciate any help

Sounds like you have some kind of spyware or malware. Go here www.ccleaner.com ,download that, and clean your computer up. It's an awesome program to run every few weeks. Also, antivirus obviously.

Bump, whitepimp it keeps happening, it worked the first time, I ran the scan again but i have the same problem

Handy go to the website I suggested before you computer commits suicide they'll tell you flat out your problem and they cover spyware and anti virus issues as well.

That's because CCleaner, or Crap Cleaner only cleans out junk from your computer. Logs, temp files, offline browser data... etc.

For Malware, I use a combo of Spybot S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html and Ad-Aware 2008 Free http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php


There is no guarantee this will fix your problem, but it will remove any malware you have.

Still scatching my head in why he chose to go that route instead of seeking help from Tech Support Guy that would have narrowed down and solved his problem with less headaches...

I try to be helpful and it was sorta a slap in the face as this was my purpose in starting this thread and even mentioning the Tech Support Guy site for this very reason to save anyone from headaches and the frustrations of computer problems (free) but I guess some people are just hard headed and have to learn their lessions the hard way if his computer is destroyed because of his foolishness :crazy: so be it I have tried to be helpful..

If you download the new version of Spybot Search and Destroy that protects the registry as well as download Spyware Blaster and Adaware and have some kind of firewall enabled you can pretty much use whatever P2P client and visit whatever filthy and vile pornsite that you want with no worries.

Oh almost forgot...

For extra protection use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox as a browser and have the extensions adblock and filterset G downloaded and enabled.

Before you do any browsing or downloading from shady sites however you should have all your computer information and files on back up discs as well you should have your operating system restore disc handy because if all else fails you are going to format C and nuke the operating system and harddrive for a fresh install.

Which surprisingly doesn't always work on the nastier spyware and viruses but most of the time it does work.

Give it a little time Handy and they will get to you if not reply to the thread you made there at the site and they will get to you I had to wait too but it was well worth the wait believe me...

These guys will help anyone understand tech problems better and will treat you with kid gloves if they have to to help with any tech problem one has (free)..Not everyone knows how to do back up discs.

I firmly believe Handy will get his problem solved if hes patient he just needs to give Techsupportguy.com a chance to get to him.
