"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Well, for the few that may have been following my ordeal with my ex, I believe this chapter has finally come to a close, and I have you guys to thank for having a hand in this. All of the previous BS can be found in this thread, which details her drunken call to me a few nights ago.

Anyway, I had largely switched my ground to just possibly keeping a friendship with my ex in the future, and I talked to her as such. The day after the drunk call I answered a question she asked me, about what feels “right” in a relationship. She read it, but didn’t respond. We later messaged each other a bit (we were both online late at night) and she never mentioned anything. Fine by me.

Yesterday I sent her a text about her coming back home in less than a week, and how it would be good to meet up and talk in person for a change. I didn’t really mean anything by it.

Next thing I know, she’s online and asks me what I meant by my message. Things escalated and she starts going off on me about how bad I’m making her feel about the breakup, making her feel like the bad guy. She said how she’s given me more time than she should have to get over everything and how I won’t stop drilling her about stuff. At this point I started to lose my cool and began to call her our on all of her crap and contradictions. That went for a while before I demanded a phone call. She gave me flak at first, about how angry she was and how we would fight, but soon enough I heard my phone ring.

She spoke like she was pissed, but I was calm, cool, and collected. I apologized for making her feel uncomfortable the two times we brought up our prior relationship, which I was clear to point out that she initiated. She kept rattling on about things, especially when I said this wouldn’t happen again. She came at me again, telling me that I would. I told this time was different, because I finally realized that I no longer cared about her. I felt nothing talking to her. I was through with this situation, and I was through with her. She was not worth my time or effort.

Silence.

I told her how unlike her I meant it when I said I loved her, but that feeling was gone, now replaced with indifference. I also said that I didn’t regret the past year, as it was awesome to experience love for the first time, but that I could do better than her. I then said that if she wished to remain friends, she could give it a try down the line if she wanted, but I didn’t really care. Then I said good bye and hung up. A little after this, she signed online on Facebook and started "like" pictures of mine on FB, which I found funny.

During the second half of the convo, the few times she responded it seemed as if she was almost in a kind of shock and at a loss for words, but I truly no longer cared. I felt as if someone had died. I went through the grieving process and now it’s time to move on.

Just wanted to close this out and say thanks for all the help, guys. Now it’s time to pave a new adventure on the path to Don Juan-manship!

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

It's a good feeling, that realisation isn't it? Something like closure, knowing its over and you had complete control the whole time, I went through similar, and had that feeling before I found this site, good luck on your journey.

Definitely a good feeling, man. There was one point when she messaged me when I mentioned how she said before that she wanted to be with me but felt that it "just wasn't right". I said it was a simple concept: if you want to be with me, be with me. Period.

She responded with, "So obviously I didn't want to be with you."

That was something that would have killed me before, but now I felt nothing. No sadness or anger. Just indifference. I was finally free.

Of course, I don't think she expected to hear me say those things to her. Fortunately, that's no longer my problem.
