"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Here's the quick recap: I'll refer to the girl as A.

Friday night:
Saw A at the bar, she started laughing at something I was saying to my buddy while we were waiting for a drink. I turned and said what are you laughing at. I teased her a bit about her age and some of the stuff she was wearing. I told her I was a dance instructor when she asked what I did. I then grabbed her hand and led her to the dancefloor. We danced for a song or two then I just told her I had to go so I left and found my friends.

Saturday night:
Was at the same bar walking around and all of a sudden some girl grabs my arm. I turn around and it's A again. She says when a salsa song comes on, let's dance...I say I'll see. She then says, seriously, save a dance for me...I respond with ya, i might. So the night goes on (I'm having fun with my friends and dancing with some other girls) and I don't see her till the end of the night where she's dancing with some chump. I see him get shot down and A goes, finds her friends, and they grab their coats. They are all standing by the door getting ready to go and A is calling someone. I walk up to A and say hey!, and she puts the phone down and hangs up. I then used David D's awesome line, you got a cell phone? She says yes and then I say let me see it as I put my hand out. Well, she gives me her phone and I dial my cell. I give her the phone back and say 'when's our next dancing lesson'? She says next Friday and then I say I might be around and then I walk away (she meant she'd be at the bar next Friday).

Ok, first of all I can't believe that line actually works. Second of all, what do I say when I call this girl up? I was ****y/funny so I just need a couple of things to say to this girl when I phone her up. Basically I'm second guessing myself...do I call this girl up...will she think it's ****ed I got her #?? What if she starts freaking out on the phone??

Any ideas? I'm just outta the LTR so I honesty don't care if I screw this up, I just need some practice getting my balls back.

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

Holy chit man. You're 24 and you're asking a question a 16yo kid would ask.

Also, you're 24 and posting in the mature man section.

Moreover, how could you be in a LTR and not know how to talk with a girl on the phone???!!!

I applaud you for getting the girls number though.

Now, read the DJ bible for conversation tips - check out weapons of mass seduction.

Rules do say 25, but give the guy a break, sheesh. It's like drinking, a lot of 18 year olds do it when the legal is 19, but few bother to point it out. Maturity is never based on age, remember that.

lol Thanks for educating me.

He asked a question that was definitely a "problem, situation, and technique UNIQUE to older and more mature men." that couldn't be answered by reading the DJ bible.

I'm wrong, you're right.
