Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I went to NASCAR SpeedPark (huge NASCAR go-karts, and amuesment park) today with a few of my buds...and to be honest...picking up girls wasnt the FIRST thing on my mind...it was havin fun with my friends.

I mean...sure...my eyes were ALWAYS peeled for a HB...and when I saw one (very few) it took my attention completely...but for the first time in a LONG time...it wasn't all I thought of, all of the time. I think this helped in making me think less...and settle the pre-approach jitters when it's all that is on your mind.

I had a BLAST today...and in the process...got some nice IOI's...made great progress...and oh yeah...MADE MY FIRST APPROACH!! I know to you other guys...it sounds like nothing...but I've been in the game for over a year now...and done much learning...and bascially KNOW it inside out...and done online stuff...but only talked to a girl ONCE in public...and she approached me and my friend. This was a huge wall for me to breakthrough...and now I think it opens the door tremendously for me.

I got there...raced a few races early in the morning...no hot girls....but I did get kicked off one track for wreckless driving (I DIDN'T get my warning...those bastards really got me there)..but anyway...then we went to eat at FuddRuckers...we re-named it RuddF*ckers...sorry for the off-topicness...back to the girls!

We're in line to race again...and there is a HB 8.5...maybe 9 (perfect rack and a$$...OMG)...she was in front of us...older, at least 21...with her father...a rather large man, may I add. My friend was like "Get a picture of that rack dude!" And...it was rather memorable...so...I pull out my camera phone...and look to be taking a picture of my friend next to me...and snap the pictures. I thought nothing more of the girl...for then... I raced the race...and when I got out...and was walking around the place...and she was next to us...and smiled at me when she was getting in the next line.

I didn't know it then...but I think I could have approached and got her number...because right after that...my friends said.."She saw you taking the pictures dude...she smiled at you before the race and getting out...and kinda did a thing with her hair when she just looked back and smiled at us." And they don't know it...but with those blatant IOI's...the age difference and father could have been avoided!!! I was rather upset...but she was in the long-ol' line for another track...a little confidence boost seeing that she could have been interested after my stalker-ish behavior however ;)

I was racing at the next track...and I must admit...I am quite reminicent of my favorite driver...Jeff Gordon...as no one passes me! I had a pretty slow cart though...and this HB 8.5..my age...nice looking...was right behind me...shoving me the ENTIRE race...trying to wreck me at every turn...after 10 minutes of futility by her...the race ends with her pretty little ass behind me :D

After this...I am not blind to the perfect opportunity to approach...we get out of the car...and she walks close to me...

Me: "hey..nice driving out there!"
Her: *Laughing and Smiling* "Thanks!"

I should have done more...but her grandfather, brother, and grandmother were pretty close by...and I wasn't completely sure where to lead it...so I walked off...staying close to her.

We get in line for another race...and she gets RIGHT behind me...with Aunt Bea and gramps pretty far behind us....

This situation made it PERFECT to approach...no walking up...or friends...and no pre-worrying...which eliminated ALL of the nervousness.

Me: "What...were ya tryin' to wreck me back there?"
Her: *I can't remember exactly what she said..but we joked around and laughed for a second*
Me: "You tried to wreck me...but you couldn't! Actually...I bet you that you can't do it this time!"
Her: "Oh really? Well why?"
Me: "You were tryin so hard back there..gosh, you're a danger!"
---
Her: "I'm gonna get the #0 car"
Me: *Standing one spot in front of her in line* "Wow...that #0 car looks fast! I think I'll get that."
Her: *Smiling...mouth open kinda...like a "You Wouldn't!" face* "No! Don't do that!"
Me: "I'm sayin'...it looks like a winner! Yeah...I'll take that one."
Her: "Don't!!!!! That's my car! I carved my initals in it last night!"
Me: "I'm surprised they haven't kicked you out yet...with your crazy driving and messing up cars."
Her *Laughing* "They did! At 11:30 last night...so it didn't matter"
Me: "Why am I not surprised!"
Her: *Big smile and laugh*
Me:" You know what...I never got your name...what is it?"
Her: "Kelsey"
Me: "I'm Taylor..it's nice to meet ya."
Her: "Nice to meet you!"
Me: "So where do you go to HS?"
Her: "*Some school I've never heard of..Cobb something? I don't know*"
Me: "Where's that at?"
Her: "Georgia."

*Then I realize that I'll never see her again...but still press for a number for the pride/confidence/practice*

*We then joke around for a couple seconds...little more about me running to the #0 car first...and her taking her bro's car if I do that...about our bet and her wrecking me...I thought it went very well...she was laughing...smiling....all seemed PERFECT.*

Then, the guy opened the gates...and I got in car #0...haha! She looked back...and I gave the most perfect smile and wave. I'm loving this...and she is too!

At this point...I'm not worried about her grandpa...or anything...

The race starts...and car #0 IS fast as hell. One of the best I've ever had there...I actually wasn't looking for the girl...my friend that had wrecked me earlier was in front of me...and it was time for some payback! He enters one turn wide...and I enter low...he slows down a little...I have a perfect angle at him...I GAS the motherf*cker and RAM him...hit him so hard both of our cars got stuck together...the man standing there yells "Go to the pits!" and I'm like "Oh come on! I didn't even mean to!"...the ******* made me go anyway...but I've got my revenge...I don't care...I then joke with some guys about the "NASCAR Nazi's" in a Seinfeld moment..."No race for you!"

I wait for the girl to finish her race...

Me: "That was some awful driving! You never even wrecked me!"
Her: "What? You're the one who wrecked on like the first lap!"
Me: *Some more joking...for only like a second though*

She then starts to walk back to her brother and grandparents...

Me: "Hey! Come back real quick."
Her: *Comes back*
Me: "Well...I've gotta get out of here...but what's your number?"
Her: *No response..she just kinda looks at me...and walks away toward her family...who were very close...*

Then, with her grandpa...I heard one piece of convo...since they walked away from me and my pals right after that...she said to him.."I didn't know he was gonna ask that"...but she looked back at me a couple times before and after that...like she wanted to give it to me? Maybe I'm hoping that was what she was thinking...not sure.

I can't figure it out...it was loud...maybe I didn't speak loud enough...maybe she didn't want to give out her digits with her grandpa there...maybe she didn't like me...I'm not sure.

I benefitted by talking to her three seperate times...and being in a GREAT place for approaching...her being next to me...no obstacles...but this was huge for me...I still think it was a success...I got valuable confidence, field time...and got over the hump of the first approach.

Please analyze this...and help me out on what I did wrong...so I can improve and do better next time...I'm going to the beach tomorrow...and I look foward to talking to some chicks...relaxing...having fun...maybe getting a make-out on the beach...who knows?!

Thanks guys!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Wow man, first let me a say a few points here. Let me tell you, you have good story telling skills. I was sitting on the edge of my seat reading through your post, and could not wait to what happen next. Your convo skills were amazing out there, from what you were saying you seemed confident, and you were not afraid to DHV with her and neg her throughout your time. I hate racing in real life, but go-carting and places like that are excellent to have fun with your buds or neg the ladies. I honestly think she wanted to give out her number, what from what I read there were a few problems:

*I think she was afraid to give it away because of her grandfather. She didn't want to seem like she was gettin hitted on by another guy and didn't want to be seen giving out her phone number to guys. In my book, you did nothing wrong and everything right. You number closed, great job. You smiled, and did not let the rejection bother you. Excellent brotha!

*You said you were from Georgia. I will assume that you two live far away from each other? Like I said thats my assumption, and maybe you two live a little too far away, therefore it would be a waste to give out her number to someone she will never see again. Again, excellent job.

You did so many things right in your first approach. You seemed confident, kept the conversation going, eye contact, smiled, flirting well (which is always fun anyway), easily DHV, negged her that she'd wreck the place). Awesome job.

I few things I would of done. But you did almost, if not everything right, but I'll give you a little feeedback anyway. I would of added a little Kino. If you want her to see you on a sexual level, add some kino in there. Also, I would of let her have the 0 car, and you take the one behind her. Not a big deal, but def. make sure you add kino next time.

Overall, I give you easily a 9.0/10.0. That was an excellent job, although I do give your story a 10/10. It was very entertaining to read, for a lengthy post. Great job and keep your replies going. I'd like to hear from you sometime, send me a PM and we'll chat sometime.

P.S.-Check out my movie theatre approaches and let me know how I did!!

Excellent man, excellent.

Remember the feeling you got when asking her to come back... That moment separated you from many other guys. Just bad luck that it didn't end better mate.

Excellent man, excellent.
Thanks for the props and for the approach comments! I appreciate it bro!

I've also benefitted for having a little practice flirting with girls over the past couple of years...the conversation seemed to flow naturally...I didn't get stuck and scrambling for words, like I had feared from doing cold approaches. This is another good eye opener for me.

Actually...she is from Georgia...but I'm not...I'm around 4-5 hours from Atlanta. I just remembered the name of the High School though...Gordon Lee? Strike a bell with anyone?

I was thinking about trying to add some kino in the conversation...but to tell you the truth...I couldn't think of a way to do it...it was one of the things that I should have done better.

Ahhh!!! Taking the car behind the #0 is a GREAT idea! I wish I would have thought of that! I love that.

Thanks for all the comments man! I will check out your FR on your Movie Theater approach...and it would be cool to chat sometime...I'll send you a PM with my AIM address

That's awesome man, good job. Keep up the good work.

Sighhh I needa get back into the field myself
Thanks man! :)

The field is the place to be! It's tough (for me...that is) to get that first approach in...I'm sure you're beyond that...but it has been such fun for me to FINALLY get out there...play the game..and HAVE FUN flirting with girls. Writing this report was fun also, in that it brought back all of the positive and fun memories from it...I definately suggest FR's for everyone!

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I remember thinking..."[email protected]'s leaving!"

And here is the kicker...for some reason...I didn't think anymore, like I have done in the past. I just DID it...and it feels so much better now that I have.

It's been said many times before that "Rejection is better than regret." This is 100% true...but I look at that as a fun time...and an opportunity to learn
