The girl is HB8 according to her picture. Here's the dialogue so far:

Me: some lame, mildly C&F opener.
The girl opens my profile and sees some highly C&F comment on how the girl who is reading this should not write me, because she'll probably not be able to handle me.

She:About what you've written in the profile... I guarantee you that if I decide I can do whatever I want with you

me: Let me guess: "I've heard ****y lines before, but every time the men melt into my arms"? Boy, are you in for a surprise... :)

she: You're in for one

me: You're bluffing! I challenge you to try and surprise me! Give me a phone/ICQ so we can set up a date

she: I'll refuse for one reason - I have a boyfriend

me: How does he put up with you.... When's the wedding?

she: What do you mean "How does he put up with you?"

Here I'm stuck cause I was expecting her to be surprised on the "wedding" comment, not the other. Any thoughts on how I should proceed?

Ignore the boyfriend altogether. She messaged you for a reason; don't keep reminding her that she has a boyfriend. Patience, patience. You have to make your advances subtle enough that her guilt doesn't fire up and stop her in her tracks.

I don't agree with that at all. I've slept with quite a few girls that I met online, and met 2 people that I consider some of my best friends. The internet is a great way to meet people who are not a fan of the bar scene and who would rather not get hunted while they are out running errands.

I'm all for guys sarging in real life. And I don't think the internet should be used as an alternative or excuse; but there is a huge market of pusssy online and it would be a pity for us not to tap into it because we think we're "too manly" for that.

Just try to keep the tension. Oh yea instead of 'when is the wedding' you should have said 'I just met you and you are already telling me about your problems'.

10x guys, the "line broken" line is good and locarius' comment is right on track - the "wedding" thing was just an idea I was trying. I actually returned something yesterday and got a short neutral responce. I'll just have to send some more openers and see what bites.

As for online dating... I am actually also more inclined to real-life dating, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I suck online but the online stuff is good for a few reasons:

1. Better statistics - I can "approach" 50 women in a few minutes, testing different openers and seeing the reactions. That's powerful.

2. If you're stuck on your computer at work anyway, and have to make use of the time, online dating is definitely preferable to looking up porno.

3. Every place has its rules and its players. Internet is actually more efficient for approaching, but there are two more steps: getting a picture and setting a real-world date. The first is resolved by having one in the first place, the second - with gaining the ability to recognize women looking for online affection from these looking for real-world experience. If you don't do the latter, you're stuck with an endless message exchange.

By the way, if you haven't tried already, go create a female account with a beautiful picture, fill the text fields with whatever you want, and just open it once a day later, before you delete it. See the number of approaches you received. It's just brutal. And addictive.

Take this as advice, if you dont know how to conversate, you can practise online stuff, but save teh computer for research and work, leave dating out of it...........seriously bro, why talk with a girl online when theres one outside your door?

You're evil.

I think i'll go make one now.

Lol.

I don't like net dating. In fact, I try not to talk to girls i'm dating on the net as well. The reason being is that because of the lack of body launguage, they try to read so much into what you type. As such, one little error, where you could have recovered in RL, has just cost you a whole bunch of attraction points.

Of course, you wouldn't care if it was the first time you were talking to them, but, if you're talking to them after you've gotten to know each other a bit and are moving pretty steadily, then ****ing it up by her reading into something you've said isn't a great way to end a relationship.

Anyway, the internet is a tool. Use it how you see fit. If thats watching porn, go for it. If it's dating girls, go for it.

Each to their own.

Those are 2 completely unrelated questions, why would you stick them in the same sentence? She has to pick one and ignore the other. Just have patience, you dont need to throw everything at her fast.
