I'll start by saying that this isn't the greatest of field reports. I'm just looking for a bit of insight into how you guys think I did in regards to the make-out I got. It's the first time I've really got on a girl based completely off of my game, normally I'm a dance-floor sort of guy and there is little conversation at all. It's definitely the first time I've been able to move a conversation to the dance-floor and then get the make-out.

As always any criticisms or critiques are encouraged.

Here goes.

It was my mates 22nd birthday a couple of days ago so some of went out in central London to celebrate with him. In total there were 7 of us, 3 of the guys I didn't know but they were all sound.

We decided to do an organised bar crawl, it consisted of 5 bars with free entry and a free shot as well as cheaper drink deals before it finished at a club. We got given a wristband for to indicate that we were on the crawl and were given a t-shirt as well which we could write on.

The night started off pretty horrendously to be honest haha. We lost the birthday boy and his brother in-between leaving the first bar and arriving at the second one. Fortunately they found their way to us 20-30 minutes later, just as we were leaving the second bar. During the first two bars we were just chilling, having a few drinks and chatting to other people on the bar crawl.

At the third bar a few of the boys decided they wanted to start chatting to women, I wasn't really feeling it at that point so didn't go with them but chilled with the other guys. They got shot down by everyone and came back over pretty quickly, however, they were not to be dissuaded and got themselves back out there after having a drink and a pump-up chat. At this point I was feeling a little more sociable so joined in and helped wing the birthday boy. We got talking to two american girls (HB4 and HB8). Because my mate opened the set and it was his birthday I flirted with the 4. She was actually pretty funny and interesting to talk too, just not attractive. Anyway after 10 minutes or so the HB8 rejects my friend and he walks back over to our other friends leaving me with the both of them. I still wasn't quite in full flow and couldn't maintain interest with the two of them. I felt myself slipping so made my excuses and left.

Came back to them later on in the night and had a good chat with the HB8, but she wasn't interested so I let it pass and moved on.

Whilst we moved through the rest of the bars we kept chatting to girls with little success.

When we got to the club, however, I did get talking to a group of Italians and a Turkish girl (HB6). By this point I was feeling really sociable, and having spoken to a fair amount of women by then I was feeling pretty confident. So I open this set, 3 Italian girls, an Italian guy and the Turkish girl. I can't really remember what I said, but I had them all laughing pretty quickly and established that they were all single, I think I was taking the piss out of them all for being foreign. They were telling me that I was really funny then told me about how they were all travelling blah blah blah. Anyway a little bit more time passes and I realise the Turkish girl is into me so I attempt to isolate her by slowly talking less and less to the group and more just to her whilst ushering her slowly away from her friends. It works a treat and I got her alone real quickly. At this point I amp up the flirting, I'm talking more direct eye contact, more touching and 'sexy talk'.

A couple of minutes pass and then I tried something that I've not done before and I told her to hold still. She asked me why and I replied that I was going to kiss her. She laughed, shook her head and said no. I then said that if she didn't want me to kiss her she would have to leave. She didn't leave. At this point it was actions over words for me, she had said no, but her actions stated otherwise, especially because I had told her to leave if she didn't want to be kissed.

Anyway I didn't kiss her. Instead I took her by the hand and told her we were going to dance, she smiled and let me lead her down to the dance-floor. Immediately we start grinding. Within a minute of that we are making out.

We go at it for a while, her friends come over laughing and take some pictures. I tell her to ignore them which she does and then I kiss her some more.

A little while later she went back to her friends and I to mine. I didn't see her the rest of the night. The boys and I went home having had a good night.

So that's it for you guys. Not a spectacular story by any stretch of the imagination but a solid night out in my books. I had a good time and I got a make-out.

Thanks for the insight.

I did have a lot of fun and as it was my first proper night out in central London as well I feel like I did do quite well.

By 'shot down' I mean it's more that the girls just weren't interested in having anything to do with them. When asking them questions they answered with one word answers, they constantly checked their phones and looked around the room, or anywhere but us. I can't really speak for my friends although I have a feeling they are a bit more direct, just because they don't really understand the subtleties yet, but I normally try not to go for the direct approach unless I have been getting clear positive signals.

To be honest I prefer the socialising aspect of a night out. Meeting people is something I love doing whether sober or drunk, the only problem I have is that normally I talk far too much. I dominate the conversation, but at the expense of revealing far too much about myself.

your goal is to socialize. meet new people talk to everyone and enjoy yourself. the girls that are interested will certainly let you know. you dont have embarrass yourself with all or nothing come-ons.
I understand where you're coming from but unless you've got something going for you, like you're really good looking for example, being passive with work against you 9 times out of 10. At the end of the night, you could have gone reasonably direct on 30 girls and got 26 "no's", 2 numbers and a make out that could turn into a shag. The other rejections count for nothing.

When you're talking to them, what sort of things are you saying and more importantly how are you saying them?

When I'm talking to girls I normally start off really general, names, where they're from, if they come here often etc. Normally there is nothing sexual at all or even flirtatious about my game in the opening stages. I think that it might be something I need to work on, being more sexual. I chit chat at first then slowly amp up the flirting. It's a slow process which I feel is why I don't normally get too much action on a night out through my chat, simply because I take too long to build up attraction through flirting. I'm better on the dance-floor where there is minimal talking and it's more about body language and physical intent which I find easier to convey then words.

Midnight I agree it is the correct mindset to have. However, I find the longer I talk to a girl the more anxious I get about going for the number, it's definitely due to myself getting in my own head. I need to just get on with it, she has been talking to me for a while after all haha.

Its funny you mention presenting yourself as genuine as I have been at job interviews this week and on three different occasions I have been told that I come across as a very genuine person. I find it very easy to just be myself and I'm very comfortable with who I am, there are just aspects that need fine-tuning my game of which is one.

It sounds like you just need to get out more often so you can pick up some momentum. This way you can go out and try different things, you can go a little bit too sexual then work out where's too far. Also you seem to be proficient in getting make outs on the dance floor so branch out a little bit and improve your chat.

I'm not too sure I agree with you there. I have been going out a lot recently, not as much as I used to (1/2 times a week) but I'm still going out every other week or so. It's just some night's I'm happy not to hit on girls and have fun with whoever I'm out with especially as a lot of the people I'm going out with at the moment I haven't seen in months and in some instances years. Part of me feels that I should just focus on getting this aspect of my game improved asap so that I don't have to worry about it in the future, but at the same time I don't think I should make getting good at pulling women a priority at the expense of me enjoying time with my friends. It is all a balancing act. I'll probably attempt one or two different approaches a night and then depending on how they go return to my mates and chill with them for the rest of the night.

I do agree that I need to try new things and vary my approaches, and I also agree that I'm fairly good at getting make-outs on the dance-floor. You are right that I need to branch out a bit and I will do.
