FR: Another successful number close.

Well today I was in line and this Jessie girl, who I'd met the day before starts talking to me, this is how it went. As always I don't remember the convos word for word, so what's said won't be exact, but you'll get the point.

Her: Hey, are you in line?
Me: Yeah.
Me: Are you in line?
Her: Yeah...

And later I say...

Me: Hey, aren't you Jessie?
Her: Yeah!
Me: Cool, so what are you doing this weekend?
Her: Well... I think I'm grounded.
Me: Your grounded, haha, your such a bad girl.
Me: Basically on my weekend I'm going to play Rock Band with this one girl Meghan.
Her: Oh yeah, I've played that before.
Me: Your a fellow player? Wow you are awesome.
Her: Yeah.
Me: Well tell ya what, it'd be really cool if you could come over and play it, but I'll need your number though.
Her: Ok.
[And so I pull out my phone]
Her: Nice phone. Oh, you want me to put my number?
[And she puts her number in]

And after that we talk a little and that ends the convo.

So that's that.

now unless you're talking to 16 year old girls the Rock Band stuff isn't going to work in the end. You'll get a number maybe because the girl just doesn't know what else to say. The girl has to LOVE Rock Band to want to play it with a guy (as a one on one thing - probably OK in a party type situation). You really should offer up something more fun (concert, club, etc.). You'll get way less flakes. And besides, did Megan and you actually schedule to play Rock Band or did you make that up to get points or something?

I guarantee you this is not gonna get her into bed and she is very likely to flake.

Good effort though.

Again. The convo needs to be way longer. You need to show her that you are sexually interested in her. You have to get to know her better.

You could have said this:

"See... not only are you sexy, but you also love Rockband! That's awesome, what else do you do?..."

Also, to minimize flaking. Set up a date right when you talk to her and then if she agrees get her digits.

"Let's play rockband then. This Friday at 6pm!"

So do you want to play Rock Band with these girls or do you want to **** them? Girls can sense an ulterior motive.. so don't be afraid to subtly let the girl know that you're sexually interested in her even if you don't say it directly.. don't try to sugarcoat it with 'playing rockband'.. Besides that though I think you're improvement is going great.. you've definately got balls when it comes to approaching.. now all you need is the balls to escalate.
Oh and as to that conversation.. be more interested in the other person.. when she said she was grounded that would have been a PERFECT opportunity to find out why she was grounded..
