So sometime July last year, i was pretty much having the best time of my life. Traveling the world, hooking up and sleeping with random girls, getting promoted, and just having fun. I was chilling with a new group of girls i met and while i'm showing them around back in my home town (they are walking store to store), I see a fortune teller and i say fvck it. I want to try this out and it sounds fun. The girls wanted to come up but the fortune teller said no.

I went to the fortune teller and she told me a whole bunch of stuff that was very generic but also very very true to me. It hit the nail on the dot but when i sat back and rationalized it, it was also very generic. I'm not going to tell you guys my fortune but maybe some people that have gotten their fortune read can shed some light.

It was for fun and not serious at all and i didn't take it to heart as i believe in a self made man.

A month ago, i went to a state carnival and there was another fortune teller there. I say again, fvck it. I want to see what the fortune teller will tell me this time, my boy was with me this time and he stood next to me to hear everyword. This fortune teller told me the same exact fortune as the previous one almost word for word........ nothing changed.

Now i normally don't believe in this stuff and i still believe in being a self made man, but that's kind of creepy and weird. My friend got his fortune told by the second fortune teller on the other side of the carnival and he got a totally different fortune and nowhere near relevant to mine.

My fortunes were an entire year apart and exactly the same. The first one last year was with Tarot cards and Palm and this one last month was with palm and psychic reading.

I went with girls last time and this time i went with my boy. The common overlap is the palm. Anyone have any insight?

I'm at my 10 post limit so i'll update.

Well i went to 2 different fortune tellers in 2 different states in 2 different atmosphere's. One was at a carnival and the other was in her private establishment in a metro city.

Honestly, the first one i went to i was wearing a t-shirt, sneakers, etc. normal clothes to go out and walk the city with a group of people. I was with a few girls.

The second time i wore dress shoes and a nice polo-ish shirt. It wasn't a large difference in clothing but there was a difference and i was with my guy friend instead of girls. I really don't think i will go to another fortune teller at this point. Atleast for a while. Although my fortune was great unlike my friends, i saw it as a game before, and now that its becoming more and more a reality although no real specifics are involved I'd rather just keep it at that. Some of the stuff she previously mentioned has already happened since she mentioned it. Like it was lined up. Some new things i just started planning the new fortune just mentioned as well.

haha that's what everyone says...people reading, etc (i personally never read much into it). but what are the chances of getting almost the same exact reading twice. Stuff that she mentioned about in my future has happened too. What cut deep was stuff about family, and she just mentioned i went through the toughest time in my life recently, and all my friends abandoned me. I was at my low point in my life when i joined sosuave back end of 2008/early 2009. i just recently recovered. All my friends stopped talking to me, so i turned to Sosuave for help.

I probably won't get a reading again as it's best not to press my luck. I'm assuming fortune telling might be a trade that is rarely disclosed, like the secret skull and bones society/illuminati.

You looked and seemed like the same type of guy both times, so you received the same cold reading. Your buddy isn’t like you, so he received a different cold reading. Go to different fortune tellers with different personas—one as a very happy successful guy, dressed in a suit, with pimpin' game, one as a depressed bummed out loser, dressed like a hipster, with no game—and you should receive different results.

The differences may have been too minor, combined with a little dumb luck. With the Law of Large Numbers, there are plenty of other people who have tried what you essentially did, so it may have just been a coincidence. Fortune telling is combination of generic statements and specific wild guesses. Try a few more times.

@Deep

Got pretty drunk at a company party last night. OMW back i saw a fortune teller and i thought it'd be cool to try it again.

I was wearing board shorts, book bag, and a weird tiny red umbrella. Totally different from the other times.

She tells me the same exact fortune as the other 2.....It must be my facial structure and my body type. I'm attractive so that's why i have no problem with love, and i must have a successful future lined up as i work out alot. Having a fit body, requires hard work and dedication which are both required for success.

Hearing my good fortune story everytime doesn't make me relaxed at all. It just makes me want to keep working hard so i can live up to that so called fortune/future.

My advice is to stay away from these people. As a refugee from the world of the occult I can tell you that this stuff is very real and very dangerous.

Some of them are phonies and are just reading your body language. Others are getting information about you from extremely evil entities who, once roused up, can start to torment you.

Could I ever tell you some stories! Keep away. It's extraordinarily dangerous.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

There is hot reading where fortune tellers use Google and private investigators to extract information from evil entities. There's also high levels of dopamine which correlate belief in superstitions and creative thinking with seeking patterns.

In my 20s I went to a tarot reader at a psychic fair and was a complete skeptic. My girlfriend went to her first (at no time were she and I standing even within 300 feet of her prior to this, so she never overheard any conversation). As soon as my girlfriend sat down the psychic said, "Who's Atom?" Of course, she used my real name.

Suffice it to say that she knew specifics that were alarming. So my girfriend talked me into sitting with the psychic. I sat down and she told me I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. I said, close, I do have 3 sisters, but no brother. She looked puzzled and kept insisting that I had a brother, even though I told her again and again I don't. My reality (no brother) clashed with her certainty that I had a brother, and she wouldn't back down. She told me all sorts of other things that were quite specific and quite true.

Later that week, I told my sister about it and she told me that my mother had a miscarriage before me. I had never known that before.

Like I said, there are quacks out there who simply make you think they know something, then there are dabblers who do have a connection with the other side but are not disciplined and are therefore foggy in what they see (60% right, 40% wrong), and then there are the ones who truly have a route of communication with the other side. That other side is evil to the core (I know, because I used to try to harness it), and they take great pleasure in masquerading as people who have died. I can't say strongly enough, stay away from psychics, Ouija boards, and any kind of occultism. The genie cannot be put back in the bottle.

All 3 psychics basically told me the same story with minor differences here and there.

Kept saying stay away from BPD and how she is not good for my life. Said some girl long distance is thinking about me. I had no clue who this girl was and i told her there wasn't anybody until about a month ago, my room mate, who just moved in with us from China basically professed her love to me and started stalking me. She used to send me text's and emails from china and even called me a few times. I never thought about her at all but apparently she's been thinking about me. (first FT said someone far away is thinking about me, then the room mate moved in. The next fortune teller said, there is someone thinking about me who is close. Finally the girl came out and professed her love and it was my room mate)

Mentioned about my bad relationship with my father, mentioned i was going to travel alot in the future (first reading), that was right when i got a job as an consultant/account manager and would be flying alot.

She also told me i went through the worst time of my life, a type of experience not many people should experience but i made it through. One of them mentioned how everyone abandoned me during that time, friends, family, etc.

For some reason the fortune tellers keep telling me i am going to come into money every month i'm going to be paid my bonus (very spot on).

She also said infront of my friend how i hate talking behind peoples backs, and will prefer to say it in person to them, not as a way to hurt them but to be honest. My boy was standing there nodding his head like "Yeah, keep going."

Mentioned me starting a business very soon, and i've been working on a business for a few months now and even took the step in form a LLC. The business is launching in october (which is when i also get my next bonus and when she said i'll come into money).

To all the skeptics, yes i can see how some of this is generic but it all hit home for me. I'm not doing this to determine my destiny, as i believe in a self made man. What i aim on doing is proving this fortune true and i will continue to work hard everyday to live up to this. True or false, i aim on being successful and good person.

Maybe they all learned cold reading from the same source. There's plenty of books that talk about people's personality based on facial structure. So you'd get basically the same reading regardless of what you were wearing.

Besides, skilled cold readers can be very artfully vague, and you may think you're hearing the "exact" same thing, but there's a lot of play involved.

Like, for example:
---------
You had some problems, some more serious that others, a few years ago, but now they're mostly resolved.

vs

You experienced some difficulties, some not too easy, in the not too distant past, but they've somehow been sorted out.
-------
These guys are really good at what they do, and they are really good at reading people, since that's what they do all day long.

Most people don't have a clue how much we project loud and clear ALL THE TIME with our body language, facial expressions, and tonality.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

When they mention multiple names from your family and other specifics that would be impossible to guess.
