Try searching the phone number on facebook, make sure to leave out spaces, dashes and parenthesis. E.g. “1234567890” no quotes

I’m curious, how often do you actually use their names?

Not knowing her name will have no effect on the outcome unless you point blank ask her as the first thing when you meet.

I'm oftentimes faced with this problem.

It gets massively embarrassing for you and more so for the girl.

Time wasted to make things up along the way is something I'm keen to avoid.

OP, how did you settle this particular quagmire?

I could learn something from this.

I went for the honest route. Apologized and told her i had deleted her after a few days without a response, she replied with a sad emoji and gave me her name.

Performing a FB search is an excellent idea There is also www.pipl.com to search.

I recommend everyone search themselves by name, phone, email, etc in an effort to determine what's out there, tied to you, and do you want it out there?

Again, it's dating, sh1t happens (on both ends) if she can't be chill land understanding, you don't want to waste your time on her.

that's a really good point, but OP hasn't told us if she's an HB9 or an HB6.5 so we can't be quite sure where on the sliding scale she falls
