How many times have you come to this site when you were down, then read a few articles and maybe the DJ Bible, get yourself really pumped up as if you were ready to fight, swearing that you'd change from "now on", only to find yourself back on this site 2 weeks later?
Sound familiar? Well that's because it describes 90% of the guys on this site.
Almost every article states that you need motivation in life, and for some people who are naturally hard workers, that's true. But 90% of the guys on this site are naturally lazy!
Here's the dilemma.. when you're motivated you WANT to change. You're in a state where you'll go to the gym, slave yourself through rejection because you WANT to. But motivation does not last! And having to restore that motivation within yourself everyday is a very tough task that very few can do.
So what's the answer??? DISCIPLINE. Whether it's by you or someone else. Because the most succesful people in the world do things because they are disciplined enough to create a new habit (I know you've heard about creating habits on this site but I bet very few of you have actually done it).
Michael Jackson did not become a great dancer and singer growing up because he'd rather practice dancing and singing everyday rather than play with other little boys
p). He had his ass whooped into being a great dancer and singer by his dad!
Now I'm not saying you need to be disciplined like that. What I'm saying is if you want to seriously change, you may not always WANT to change. In fact, there will definitely be times when you don't want to get up early to work out, or whatever it is.
Learn to love what you're doing but even when you're feeling down, but be disciplined enough to carry on improving yourself even when you're not feeling so good (e.g. when you're sick, when you're tired, when you feel down, when you're rejected).
