Say you were dating someone exclusively. When is it okay to ask someone you are dating what their income is, how long they have planned for retirement, etc?

In this case, the shoe is in the other foot b/c I make a terrific living.

I'm thinking four months in? For me, he has to have a retirement. I can't support two, in the lifestyle I want, on my retirement. I feel I need to ask before too much time has passed so I can weed the "no retirement" ones out.

Thoughts?

Depends the ethnicity....

Some want $$ and see it has a relationship factor. Especially she might want you to do more than her
She might be planning you moving in together too

Otherwise, she'll either stay à plate or spin you

This topic is funny to me.....a woman gets anxious about the way her body looks in certain sexual positions, wants the lights dim, wants to hide certain features, and shows reluctance at times. But she thinks its ok for her man to expose all his financial details! hahahaha Yeah sure babe, let me spread my financial portfolio right in your face so you can sniff all of that green!

My exwife was the last one I will ever share financial details with. I never tell them what I make or what I'm worth. If the hand I've currently shown isn't worthy, then she can hit the road. She is in it for the wrong reasons.

Women need to get better at sizing a guy up with out asking questions. Usually all of the clues are there, but most of you suck at putting it all together.

Sazc- you start asking me those questions and red flags are going up. Its amazing how females are some of the most covert/ creatures on the planet, yet they aren't very good detectives.

A chick is acting like a chick..... not a surprise. They all do this to some degree, they will stalk you on-line, check out your linked-in profile, Facebook, Twitter.... they check in with the 'girls network' to learn what they can about you. They freaking LOVE doing this sh!t.... They love the detective work and trying to figure you out. Don't ruin her fun... really you shouldn't be offended by this, it's female nature, make it a game and don't make it easy for them.
