"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Forcing them to offer number and name

There are a few techniques (not original to me) I've been using but don't know if they are flawed, though they seem to work for me:

1. I'll try not to ask for her (or tell my) name until the girl offers (or asks for mine);

2. I never directly ask for her number, I say something like, "we should continue this some other time, how should we get in touch?";

Almost invariably, if my game is going well, they answer 2. with "you could have my number," as if it were their idea! :cool:

Should I be more direct and just straight up ask, or is my current indirect method better since it forces the girl to make initiative and convince herself that she is chasing me (and not vice versa).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

It doesn't matter how you ask. Despite what anyone else has said, if her interest level isn't already a certain degree, the way you formulate one sentence is not going to make or break you.

Going for the number should be a smooth transition from the conversation. Of course, you could also go for a non-smooth transition that paradoxically is smooth in that it pertains to the situation you create:

"Oh ****, I just realized I have to be somewhere. Look, I enjoyed this conversation, let's gets together and chat some more."

I have found that putting up a false time constraint works much better than smoothly saying "oh well, it has been nice, blah blah blah, can I have your number."

Typically, if the girl is interested you'll be able to get her number almost any way you ask. However, there are situations where the girl may be neutral towards you...and maybe, just maybe, if you were able to get her number and meet her for a quick cup of coffee you could tip things more in your favor (of course, this could end up just being a huge waste of time since she wasn't initially interested, but hey, being a DJ and going after a girl you want is all about taking risks!). In these situations where a girl is neutral you can use a couple of tricks that salesmen use:

First, you can load the question and phrase like this: "Do you have a number I can reach you at?" This question elicits a "Yes" or "No" response. This can put the odds slightly into your favor of having her volunteer her phone number.

The second trick is to open your cell phone and hold it out to her to enter her information when you ask for her number. A girl will often put her number into your phone partly out of a pure reactionary impulse. It's akin to putting a contract and a pen down in front of a person; they're more compelled to sign.

Put both of these together and it's a deadly combination. While holding cell phone out and open to the girl: "Do you have a number reach you at?"

What percentage of girls do you actually go out with when you pull this off (assuming that they are neutral)?

It seems like a pretty big uphill battle if they are neutral to begin with.

It is an uphill battle, which is why I don't prefer to use either of these methods. I like to know I'm not wasting my time by calling a girl who wasn't giving me positive signals beforehand. However, I've seen (and even been in) situations where I didn't really think there was much of a chance of anything happening, but then you end up getting a pleasant surprise by the end of the night. Personally, if a girl is neutral and I end up getting her number I will typically call her and just meet her at a party or club - that way I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket and I have an immediate exit strategy. If nothing works out, I could care less because I'm surrounded by other beautiful women. But, like I said, I personally don't like to waste my time, so I don't re-engage the neutral girls in a one-on-one fashion.

I have used both of the tricks I mentioned to insure success, but in those situations I'm sure I would've gotten a #close no matter what I did.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
