Personally I can't get enough of this stuff.

This is for those that see there is more to life than chasing pvssy, and are interested in a variety of subjects.

Very fascinating stuff, most of the subjects are worldly and interesting.

Again, this is for those that have curiosity built into your personality.

Enjoy.

I love ted talks. One of the better things about the internet is the abundance of information and knowledge for those that seek.

Yeah there's some really good and inspirational talks on there.

I found this one by someone who i've never heard (maybe it's Pook) and thought that it echos some of the messages that are put across on the board.

Some good stuff in this one too about endangered cultures. In the guys biog it states he's a "National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence". Pretty cool job.

It's a shame, really, TED talks don't get more coverage here more often. My favorite TED talks have been Michael Shermer (professional skeptic), Brian Cox (astronomer), Richard Dawkins (does he really need an introduction?), and Barry Schwartz (paradox of choice).

Pook's real name was Samuel. Amusingly, there was an historical Samuel Pook:
Samuel Moore Pook (1804 – 1878) was a Boston-based American naval architect and father of Samuel Hartt Pook, the noted clipper ship naval architect. In 1861, at the outbreak of the American Civil War, he designed the City class ironclads for James B. Eads. The City class ironclads, also known as "Pook Turtles" due to their distinctive shape, were the backbone of the naval flotilla deployed by the United States Navy on the Mississippi River System during the American Civil War.
No wonder why Pook was so mysterious--he was an ethereal ghost! ;)
