For the love of game

I know this is an advice forum as well but I haven't seen many uplifting posts lately. So here:

When you truly start to love the game:

It’s when a girl compliments you for your swagger in the middle of a bar, right after a rejection because your mojo’s still solid, since you know you're the prize.

Its when you ****-block a bull dyke by making out with her lipstick lesbo girlfriend because she still loves a real man.

Its when you start making out with a random girl after an eye contact invitation to the cheers of a pool hall, cause you know when to go for it.

Its when seduction records are no longer measured in number of dates but hours.

Its when that cougar texts you pictures of a fridge full of beer, trying to entice you over after a month of no contact, because in her words she hasn’t been ****ed like that since she was sixteen.

Its when you wonder if you main squeeze really wants it rough, or if she doesn’t she knows you’ll find it elsewhere.

Its when that girl who flaked on your birthday tracks you down three months later and apologizes as dirty talk when you destroy her in bed for an hour.

When a total AFC/Beta colleague refers to you as "Mr. Name of City" because your stories of bird-dogging it are all he has to go on to remember what being free and single is like.

Getting one number at happy hour and pulling another from a bar later for a bang without exchanging names.

Having at least two women on your phone that will invite you over just for asking (always good after a not-so-good night out).

Learning the warning signs of oneitis and bad sniper form from game blogs and heading them off at the pass, unlike what the younger you might have done.

There's something intangible and dare I say special in having that it factor. I am no City fan but I remember seeing Balotelli pass to Aguero to score and win the league. Breaking the trophy drought on a single point. That sort of thing is special.

There's nothing like the walk back to the car after pulling. The sound of the birds chirping on the morning as if to be cheerleader and singing your praise.

The darkness will come for us all (at some point). Regardless of what you believe is to follow. For me, I am inspired to break the ice. To go through the fire. The hero's journey. This one life we have and to ensure that I made the most of the journey. I love the surge of energy. I have an addiction to the game. I love having a flirt and testing the waters. Its fun. There's no substitute for pickup nor the stories from being a student of the game.

I am married to the game.
